I really like the simple but effective solution of preheating the carburettor to provide anti icing protection. Great solution!

Another safety feature could be added to the aircraft is solar cells embedded into the wings so it could provide the instruments with power in the event of loss of the alternator. Although, I dont think this plane can act as a glider.

the shark has a BRS - ballistic recorvery system - which fires a parachute to effectively glide to a soft landing in an emergency

Why is the insurance so high ? I was planning to buy a 2 year old shark, a gota quote OF $12000 a year, which it was a deal breaker

We hope that with the introduction of MOSAIC the situation in the insurance market will improve. Currently it depends a lot on the brokers. We suggest talking to our US representatives.

One element of safety is simplicity. Therefore, I do not understand why the passenger is not positioned at CG. The necessity to move around a 6kg dead weight constitutes a design flaw that should be corrected.

@@Fastwolf666 That's correct. However, my impression is that the pilot is situated much closer to CG then the passenger - it should be the other way round as the pilot seat is always occupied. I suspect that the 6kg dead weight in the aft is placed there mainly for convenience and not really needed when flying in single mode to stay within the CG envelope. Whereas it is mandatory to place the weight under the cowling when taking a passenger. It would be interesting to see the actual calculation.

He mentioned a 110kg passenger in the rear. That's a 240lb passenger! Moving that little amount of weight for CG is nothing. That is awesome and still be under gross!
