I came here from your NYC cats video. I wanted to see what kind of music you create. I have a bodhran and have been around Irish trad musicians who play the bodhran regularly. I have never heard a bodhran played this way and it's AMAZING! Now I want to see what else you do.

Thanks Sarah! I've made several silly videos over the years to amuse myself :) I'm currently on tour with the musical "Come From Away", which has bodhran in the score.

Fire, for modern terms.

Hey man ! Great stuff ! I was wondering about your sound, like how will you mix a bodhran in a live or recording situation ? I experimented on a lot of recording sessions but never got satisfied yet

Thanks! I think little compression helps a bodhran fit into a mix, and EQ to taste - if you have bass guitar and kick drum in your mix you'll probably need to find a way for them all to work together, maybe bring out the higher frequency of the bodhran. I didn't do much eq'ing on this one, and of course, most of the rich low end is lost on computer speakers! :(
