1. Cut carbs 2. No Alcohol 3. Drink plenty of H20 (5 liters per day ) 4. Bikram 3 times a week 5. Cardio , weights and abs at Gym twice a week. I lost 10 Kgs in 15 days doing it. Feels great.

1. You have it wrong. Cut Fat and Sugar. Complex carbs are fine. Carbs are not high in calories and are a key part of your diet. But most people eat too much sugar and fat, both things that are loaded with calories to pile on fat. Only look at carbs if you really are eating too much.

I don't feel a scale is a good way to measure once you start building muscle. From personal experience I've come to find out that yoga tones , strengthens and relaxes my body way better than my years I've spent in the weight room. Anyways! Congrats you stuck with it and you seem happy.

@ stedyplotn bikram yoga is basically an internal shower, its amazing what it does to u in the inside, to ur organs ur brain ur blood flow, all is great and yes u do get more flexible and to be honest some classes are easy when u doing the 30 day challenge but some classes are hard depends on ur day its a journey but its amazing and last but not least does wonders to ur mind, u found urself a lot more relaxed and have a lot more patient to everything....

It doesn't matter if you only lost 13 lbs. You went from being an average looking guy to really good looking. You look 15 years younger. I have been doing Bikram for 30 days now, 3 times per week. I skipped one week because of Thanksgiving. I have gained 5 lbs but all my cloths fit looser. After my second yoga class my energy level went through the roof. It has suppressed my appetite. That has to be good for loosing weight; There are much more calories burned through out the day. Great video!

Part 2: If you need to lose weight, invest your resources in diet, aerobic exercise and weight-training. I have already paid my dues in the weight-loss arena and and now am using Bikram to gain other more advanced and sophisticated benefits of the mind and body. Diet is the most important element in weight loss, especially the avoidance of all added sweeteners (read the label closely) AND processed foods. These changes must be essentially life-long changes, or the weight will be regained.

I am a Bikram practitioner. I must emphasize that it is not for weight loss, it is fundamentally for strength, balance and flexibility. In addition, there are also a lot of small collateral benefits that very from one individual to the next. A few may lose weight, but a few may gain as well. In addition to strength, flexibility and balance, there is a substantial mental benefit as well.

I did half a year. Lost about 12lbs, waist size down. Jumped back up 15lbs 3 months after I stopped due to injury, waist size as large as before. Bikram yoga is not for losing weight. I've seen my bikram teachers gain weight like crazy as soon as they slack for a few months.

You seem to be expecting to do some exercise but then expect the benefits of it to continue after you then stop doing the exercise!! You give two examples of losing weight from bikram and then people putting on weight when they stop doing it. Surely it is the NOT doing bikram that led to the weight gain!!

Wow well done completing your challenge! I tried it out but I found that Bikram's teaching method sucked all the fun, joy and creativity out of yoga. For me the class was mechanical, boring, exercise regime in a hot, loud and bright hell. I was shocked by how not-fun it was compared to the vinyasa flow hot-yoga I have done elsewhere. The instructor barked instructions at us non-stop for the full 90 minutes. Did you enjoy the classes and your progress? Will you continue with the method in the future?

Dinavalerie11 I do agree with Claire on the instructions being too mechanical, boring and not a fun environment ;but honestly when I switched going from one location to another one, it made a huge difference! I go to the one in Colony, TX and they have a much relaxer atmosphere and they are very personable. Bikram is a boring routine,but it all depends on your own experience, so give it a shot :)

I've been doing it for a year. I haven't lost much weight, but I wasn't too heavy before. I have improved much in flexibility, but I still have a long way to go. I started when I was 55, so i have a lifetime of damage to undo. It is kind of a hell during, but I feel much better outside. I did some vinyasa before (or whatever passes for it around here) and it wasn't doing much. I do it for health, not creativity.

Awesome video man, thanks for posting. On the last day, it's always better to weigh in the following morning. You'll be an additional pound lighter due to your body's consumption of water while you sleep. Make sure you pee first though. Again, great video!

I gained 20 pounds and lost 2 nches in my waste, I've gained a lot of muscle. With all the sweating my skin looks and feels better. I also juice everyday, I'm 47

Don’t forget that while you lose fat, you gain lean muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat.

You are right, I stand corrected! A pound of muscle and a pound of fat weigh the same-a pound. The good news is that muscle takes up less space in the body due to its compact density, while fat is all over the place, big and puffy. ~~Thanks for the comment/feedback.
