I'm 70 and it is remarkable how many things you touched on are things I wish I had known at 30. You are wise already my friend. My only addition but is more of a side note, it's ok to feel grief. True deep grief WILL bring you to your knees and you will make a noise you didn't think you were capable of. Go with it and don't try to stifle it and be in it. After you start to move out of the deepest part, start to name things you are grateful for. Whether on paper or just reciting things in your head, it helps. However small the item, it counts and it helps. Hearing your list today had many good reminders for me. I will have to watch again and write your list. They are that good!

Piece of advice recently that really resonated with me, "Your worth is not derived by what you produce. You are so much more than your work." It lifted so much stress! Also, heck yes on painting your nails! I totally agree.

I'm sixty two Allie.. YESSSSSSSS! When I turned thirty I felt like people took me far more seriously than my twenties. The advice I can give you, that I've lived by is - ALWAYS be willing to learn something new. also, be willing to give up old friendships if they're not serving you any longer, or asking you to give up more of yourself than they're willing to extend❤.

Allie….a p.s. here…As the candles on my birthday cake have increased, I have come to know that so much of what I worried about, what I thought other people thought….my weight, my legs(definitely from my dad)… just so many things I have come to realize didn’t matter at all. Now, at 72, I am grateful for strong legs that keep me going, for a healthy body that allows me to experience life, for a husband who after 55 years is still my best friend, for my 2 children with whom I have a wonderful relationship …these are the really important things in life…so I am very blessed🙏❤

Happy Birthday, Allie! Your 30’s are the time when you start to shed so many of the insecurities, criticism, and fears that have held you back from being your fullest self. The weight of other opinions and pressure of forcing yourself into a mold is no longer worth the wrestling and efforts that hold you back. It was when I finally set down so much of the baggage and expectations of life and myself that had been a burden on my journey and I just allowed myself to breathe and be present. Life is so much more enjoyable now that I gave myself the permission to just be me - curious, creative, unique, flawed, strong, sensitive, ambitious, capable, fearful, soft, passionate, bold, evolving and all the other adjectives we as women are often told are too untamed to be worthy of display. Welcome to all the colorful beauty of your 30s, Allie! I think you will like it here. 💜

Happy Birthday, Allie! As someone who turned 40 on her last birthday, your 30's are going to be amazing. Personally, I grew much more self confident and comfortable with myself in my 30's. You had two babies (your daughter and your business) in your 20's so I feel like you're going to really blossom in your new decade. Have a wonderful birthday, my dear!

I’ve waited to watch this video, because I am now a few days away from turning 30 myself. I have very mixed feelings about it. So many of the comments here have given me such peace of mind. I am so blessed to be where I am today. Sometimes I find it hard to count my blessings, and this year I’m ready to embrace growing older, I will not feel sad for the things I don’t have, and I will be so grateful to be surrounded by my loved ones. In my 20’s I did so many incredible things. I quit drinking, smoking and using drugs. I got married. I went back to school and started a career, and I’ve gained a lot of experience and confidence in myself. I bought a house with my husband. I made new friends that I love and trust and have a healthy relationship with. There are many things I wish I had done before 30, but I am ready to embrace the fact that I can’t go back in time to do those things. If they’re worth my effort, I can still achieve any goal I set my mind to.

My 30's were the best! Wishing you the happiest birthday Allie!!! 🎉🎉 As someone who will be 52 soon this is my advice. Make the most of the life you have and do not dwell on the life you have always imagined. What that means is this .. we all have an image in our head of what our life "should be"...by 30 I'll be married, by 40 I'll have kids, a great job, l'll be famous, etc. Instead take that imaginary life picture, hang it in a wall and go live your real life. Stop being self-sabotaging by measuring your life against an imaginary image.

Okay now I want a monthly video called « What I’ve learned this month. » My makeup never looked so good than today, I was just doing my makeup, listening to you and it just turned out to be so beautiful, so me 👌🏽 I’m 32 and the biggest lesson I’ve learned and what I think about everyday now is: it all changed when I started saying thank you instead of please. Be grateful for what is here in your life and make the most out of it instead of always asking life for more and more and being frustrated constantly. ❤ with love, Amelie

Hi Allie. I turned 56 in Dec.. I have 3 grown sons. Things I have learned: gratitude is a key to happiness. Every day I am present within my self and think about what I am grateful for that day and has brought me joy in that day. Positivity attracts positivity. Everything is easier to deal with even difficult things if you start with a positive mindset and a grateful heart……I have also learned from my father, No fool no fun. Life is too short not to enjoy it and not to make memories with those you love. Experiences and memories will sustain you…..Traditions old and new are important and your children will remember them fondly. ….Kindness is everything… those are just a few things I’ve learned.

Allie, you are such a wonderful addition to my viewing pleasure. Here are a few things that I've learned over the past 6+ decades: "Things happen for a reason." Rather than think about why bad things happen, think about what you can learn from the experience. (I suffer from depression and rather than feeling burdened by it, I am grateful for it, because I can have compassion for my students who suffer from mental illness.) "Be grateful." When you appreciate the goodness in life, you can be more positive about ALL aspects of your life, the good and the bad. "Share your love and appreciation for others OUT LOUD." It can be as simple as, "Thank you for being my friend." When was the last time that any of us thanked a waiter/waitress for their hard work. It really matters! Again, Allie, I so appreciate your hard work and your talents. I have learned so much from you. ❤❤❤

I was 53 last month & a couple of things I've learned over the years. It's ok to say no. If something sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. Always follow your gut instinct, if something feels off 99.9% of the time it is. You only have 1 chance to make a first impression. A mother's instinct should ALWAYS be considered & listened to. Happy 30th birthday Allie 🎂 🥳 🎉

Happy birthday!💕 Thank you for the life lessons Allie, I needed to hear this. I am now 27 and started a full time job in an office but I already feel that I want to do something else. My dream is to have some sort of shop with cute pet products I designed myself. It is just really scary because I want to have a stable income. But I took my first steps and printed some of my own cards and am doing commissions for people. It makes me so happy! I don’t know how this will go further, but you are right- you don’t have to have all the answers in order to start something. Life goes fast and I want to do the things that make me happy, so I will try to pursue them 💕

I'm 49 with 9 kids. If there's one bit if advice I can give you it is that your child is a grown up. Parenting is so hard when our religion focuses so much on obedience. But I have learned that my children are going to be who they are no matter what I do. So focus on you, just like you are and allow them the space to make their own decisions and be themselves. Trust them. They will surprise you. And they may not make decisions that you think are the best, but if you continue to support them with high love and setting an example of having high expectations of yourself, they will stay close to you and feel safe no matter the path they choose in life.

At 43 I have to admit that my early thirties were the some of the best and most difficult times of my life. I didn’t slow down until I had my daughter right after I turned 36. It’s been a rewarding and extremely educational time. I have 2 rules/ lessons I try to always remember. 1) My daughter is now 7 and I also work with preschoolers so I’m constantly with very young children. I tell them all the time that we never stop learning! I learn just as much from them as they learn from me. There will always be something new to learn no matter or age and and no matter how knowledgeable we are, we will never know everything. 2) I also have always believed in the phrase “Be kinder than necessary for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.” At times this is most difficult but it has helped me so much with maintaining compassion and has improved my conflict resolution skills as an adult. And now after watching this, I have to say that #13 is something I really needed to hear and like I said earlier, we never stop learning and this was the push I think I needed right now. 😊 I’m grateful for the time you’ve taken to share these lessons you have worked so hard to learn! Happy birthday!!🎉 I hope you enjoy your day immensely!🥳

Oh my goodness Allie -- you are wise beyond your years! I'm in my 60's and your advice is the template for life in my humble opinion. It was a great retrospective review for me and you checked off every box. I had one more rule I lived by and it served me well -- never be afraid to open every door that presents itself. You never know what's behind it. You can always close it if it doesn't work out, but some of the greatest moments of my life were when I dared to open some crazy doors! That said, I send you the Happiest Birthday Wishes! This is only the beginning and I have no doubt you will have great success and happiness. All the best to you and your wonderful family.

I felt very empowered in my 30s. My biggest advice is to always trust your gut or your instincts. They will never fail you. If they tell you to take a chance and a leap of Faith, do it! I have never regretted doing that! I just changed jobs in December after being with my former company for 6 years. It was a good decision, and I'm very happy with my new path, even at 61! I have had some challenges career-wise because of divorce and the 2008 recession, but I've survived. We are strong when we need to be. Let your heart, gut, and reason help guide you toward the goals you want to achieve! My daughter Amelia is 23 and has accomplished so much more because of social media tools. I am proud of my girl, her talents, and her amazing creative mind! The younger generations have so many opportunities and possibilities, you included, Allie!!

Hi Allie! I've been watching your channel for a while now and I'm a first-time commenter. I'm one of your mature viewers, 50 years old. The best advice I can give you is to enjoy your children while they are young. Enjoy each milestone they reach and each stage they go through. Before I had children, people told me they grow up so fast. Well, I barely blinked and mine were adults and I feel like I missed out on so much. So, like you said in your video....be present and make lots of memories with your kids!

I hope you had a wonderful Birthday, Allie! I’m almost 52 years old with an almost 5 year old Grandson, 2 grown Sons and a wonderful Daughter In Law. I do have some advice to share. 1. Remember to show Grace to people. We all have bad days, we all have behaved in a manner we aren’t proud of and sometimes we are just in a bad mood. I’m not excusing bad behavior and not advocating to allow that in your life, I am just saying if it is an occasional occurrence, try to show that person some Grace. 2. Surround yourself with people that speak positively about others. If they are talking poorly about somebody to you, what are they saying about you when you aren’t around? If they are speaking about somebody out of concern and how to help somebody, that is different. Just be careful of unkind or fake people, that toxicity is useless in your life. 3. Don’t make assumptions. Jumping to conclusions can lead to very bad consequences. 4. Calm down before you respond. I have a rule at work about angry emails or voicemails, I wait 24 hours to respond. I have to give myself time to calm down and not respond emotionally. Responding professionally is a much better route when faced with angry people. 5. You don’t have to know all the answers! (just expanding on what you said) Remind yourself that you just have to know where to find them. 6. Take time to meditate, even if it is a 5 minute reset of calm, it helps you mentally and physically. I hope this helps somebody! Sending love from a South Carolina Grandma ❤

Happy birthday beautiful ❤️. I'm turning 43 next month. But I've enjoyed All the things that you learned throughout your 30's. I've learned so far in my 40s, , not that I didn't know this, but it kinda reinstated for me in different ways, but it's Don't Sweat the small things. Things will work out and when it doesn't, that just means God was protecting you from it. It just means that if it's not for you, Don't Force it. If it Is for you, You'll show a beautiful side of yourself that others want to know your secret. What's changed?! Why are you glowing?! You're smiling More differently. Not that you've been sad, or not happy. But there's a presence about you that makes people see that softer side. The teal you. Also, Absolutely Never be Afraid to step out of Faith and Be Bold. It doesn't mean you're better than someone else, you just have a Better and More Awareness of Attitudes towards your goals, Life, and yourself.😌♥️. Loving yourself is my self care. Not everyone has to Love you but you do. People flock to kindness and generosity, and Truth. I believe when you walk in your Truth without hiding who you are, You Will shine No matter what 👍🏾👍🏾💕 And Yess, guard your heart. Don't try to over share things with people who really don't Allow you to be You. They really are missing All your great and beautiful Qualities as a Human being. That's why people see me at work, or school, and want to tell me things. Good or bad. You establish a friendship and honesty and no judgement towards anyone who wants your friendship. Last thing, The word No , OMG!!! You said it. It's so freeing. Lol!! If you say it, people will take advantage of your kindness. And it's okay to say, No!!! No reason, no explanation but No!!!! ♥️♥️♥️ Love you Allie. Thank you for showing your truth and what a kind hearted beautiful woman you are. God bless you and your family 🙏🏾♥️.

Happy Birthday Allie! My advice is when someone enters a season of life where they manage other people, reflect on what inspired (or inspires) themselves to excel, and then as a manager, foster similar opportunities for those that they now manage so their team can excel and experience accomplishments. To add on to your comments regarding the importance of sleep, there have been studies indicating lack of sleep can be a contributing factor to having a stroke. Sleep is vital! Happy Birthday and best wishes!!!🎊 🎉

As a fellow people pleaser, it is so hard to say no but soooo necessary. I am someone who needs to feel productive and almost punish myself for taking breaks and slowing down like you mentioned. But these things are a necessary part of life and without the little breaks we would not succeed. Great advice!

Happy Birthday!!🥳 I turn 47 in a couple weeks, but I don't feel "old" yet lol! The best advice I have is: Kindness doesn't cost anything, feel free to spread it around. Give people the benefit of the doubt, but don't be a doormat. Live without regrets, because the past can't be changed, but you cam choose each day to do your best, and then you have nothing to worry about. Many happy vibes and thoughts sent your way, and may you find even more happiness in the years to come! 😊

Happiest of birthdays! I am 32, and in the last few years, I have truly felt a shift in how I feel in my own skin. So much more established, mature, and confident in who I am as a woman. I hope 30 is your best year yet! 🎉

Hi Allie. Happy Birthday I just turned 51 in January. I have 2 adult sons and 3 yes 3 beautiful granddaughters! Advice I learned (later in life) is this: Always take time for yourself. Whether thats reading a book in a quiet place or going to see a movie by yourself. Whatever it may be take time for yourself. It took me years to understand thats it’s okay to have a “Me” day. Love you and everything you do on your channel!

I turn 30 this year as well, and my high school friends and I have been reflecting back on what we thought we would accomplish by now and what we actually have. One of my best friends and I laugh because we did the other ones dreams. I spent my 20s travelling, and making memories and having a lot of cool and crazy experiences, and she settled down and is a mom to 4, but I always thought I would be the young mom with the vanload of kids, and she thought she’d travel and have adventures. It’s crazy where life takes us.

Happy belated birthday Allie 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 so, I turn 50 in July. My thirties was my decade. Literally met my husband 2 months before turning 30, got married at 32, quit work at 38, and started a small business, had my baby at 39. Words of wisdom...everyone has their own timeline. Do not judge your life by what others are experiencing in their lives, especially in this Era of social media. Your time will come. Oh, and no matter what your age...use sunscreen 😊

Happy Birthday Allie! I'm 34 and all your point are also mine! I would double down on 'its OK to say NO'. This is one that I master a lot and it made my life so much easier. No need to justify your decision. And if you are ok with your NO answer, other will be ok with it too! When you try to justify yourself, this is where others will see an opening to make you change your mind. Say NO, think about yourself and enjoy every minute of this blessed life that we are given!

Life advice...it's ok to set boundaries with everyone including family. And with that should those boundaries be crossed, it is absolutely ok to cut them out of your life and again this includes family. Nothing is as important as your peace and happiness. Another one, as women we often don't think we deserve something. So when we have that type of feeling it is absolutely something we deserve and we should not feel guilty about it. I was miserable in my 1st marriage. He was narcissistic and had a mistress. After 3 years of this abuse I finally found the strength to know I deserved better and I left. Now each time I think I don't deserve anything I look back at the things I said I did deserve and how happy I am today.

Happy birthday Allie. 🎂 I'm 52 and have 4 kids and am raising 6 of my grandsons, so I can definitely say that it's a blessing to having children but it can also be very hard but worth it. And you and your husband are very blessed to have a beautiful daughter and successful business before you even turn 30. You have much to be proud of, congratulations.

Happy birthday Allie! I will be turning 65 in December and my goal is to fill my life with positivity and happiness. When I was younger I was extremely impatient and a perfectionist. I felt as if I was a total failure if I couldn’t do it all myself. Through the years I have developed much more patience

Happy 30th Birthday, Allie! ❤️ 🌺 ❤️ I loved your video. I have one to share…When you’re invited to a party or anything really, and are not available, too busy, or just don’t want to go - simply state “That doesn’t work for me, maybe next time.” It’s so much easier than stating WHY you are not available. As you get older, it’s easier to say what works best for you without feeling guilty for declining.

Happy Birthday, 30 is a great age, I am retired ( do not want to bum you out ) so I am 65 and I was not looking forward for that age but it has it's perks, discounts on movies and restaurants, lol and a lot more freedom to do what I really want, painting and the time to learn new things, enjoy, live your life as best as you can, 30 is just a young age and if we think about it it's just a number.

I'm 49 and you were one of the first youtubers that I started watching to learn how to do my makeup. I am not the kind of person to wear makeup on a daily basis, but to watch you explain the importance of prepping your skin before applying, and how to blend eyeshadows....I never paid much attention to any of that. But what really drew me in was how genuine you are as a person and how deeply you truly love the fans that support you. I hope you continue to grow your business and I can't wait to see what's in store for you!

Happy Birthday, Allie! Wow...30... I will turn 67 this year! Truly the best way to do life is to make each day the very best it can be. Part of that is telling those you love that you love them & why you love them, create memories --- not just for yourself, but for your family! Begin a memory box for your precious daughter now! Remember to show gratitude & recognize what makes you feel grateful. I hope my words give you some additional items to add to your next decade advice list! Love you!!!

Hello Allie!! I wanted to share with you that your second point---that motherhood is better than you expected---sincerely motivated and inspired me. My birthday was also earlier this month, and I only turned 20! I am only entering the decade you are stepping out of, but I am also entering a stage in life that you have just entered---motherhood! I'm expecting the arrival of my baby in early July. The fact that you were able to launch both your beauty brand and enter motherhood at the same time made me realize that I can still fulfill my career goals and be a good mother. For sure, finding a balance is hard---but I can see through your success that the hard work pays off. I have been following you since my early teenage years, and I was ecstatic when I learned that you were having a baby. Motherhood is truly a blessing, and I sincerely cried when I watched your announcement video. I can't wait to try your beauty brand (which I've been secretly wishing for for years) and see all the incredible launches to come!! I love you and your family so much!! You have truly been an important figure in my life, and I hope that one day you come across my comment. God Bless you and your family. With lots of love, Mireya

Allie, I am a 75-year-old fan and have been watching your videos for about 4 years. This may seem odd since we have never met but... I am so very proud of you!!! What you have done in this video is so very important! People really do need to hear these 30 things and you addressed them so perfectly! One thing that I have learned is not to dwell on past mistakes. Once you have done what you can to fix it, just let it go. Dwelling only hurts you. Thanks so much for what you do Allie....
