This song is so similar to the Nepeta's Serenade, I mean the passages of accords, tempo, and similar high melody. Roxy, like Nepeta, was not often shown to be tormented by feelings. Roxy is also Dirk's dear friend, while Nepeta has Equius. Let me remind you that this is a friendship of aspects of the Heart and the Void. Conclusion: words or emotions are not always needed to understand that someone is suffering.

ive got no clue what passages of accords means. ill concede the arpeggios are played in a similar kinda rushing way though. its a fun fan theory but i really dont think theres much of a connection here musically. its been a while since i read homestuck but nepeta was always a lighthearted character, the most serious thing she did was die. roxy meanwhile did have some serious shit goin on its just she dealt with it through alcoholism. i guess you could say the same of nepetas shipping wall but.. ehhhh idkkkk

okay but why do people always talk about how dirk was raised all alone, but never roxy? Sure they had difrent circumstances, but roxy's life seemed harder and required more work then dirks. People say that she was raised by the chess people, but Roxy was the one who feed them when they were hungry, took care of them, tried to save them from the miles, and even refused to hurt them when they attacked her. It just seemed like she had the burden of having to take care of them all her life
