One thing that really bugs me is that Recons who mark vehicles with the tracer darts and soflam hardly get any points for doing so and yet, it's one of the most vital things you can do to help your team win. That has to be changed.

This is definitely the best update the game has received so far; even though technically no new content was added to the game, it now feels fresh and more familiar. I no longer just play every Tuesday to complete the weekly missions and stop playing when they're done; rather, I _WANT_ to player more and I _CRAVE_ one more match because the game feels... _FUN!_

I have played a lot since S3 but since the update I am playing a hell of a lot more. The game feels and plays much better now with classes. Better then I expected. I liked the game before but it is just better now overall.

I disagree, there are less options, class system feels more rigid and the selection and load out screens are a mess. All the whinging about classes, and the game doesn’t play that much different. Could have had that development time spent on new maps, vehicles and weapons instead.

@@ryanstephens6965 yes... less options for each class to choose from. But more options per class then any previous battlefield. Removing classes was a mistake. That has now been fixed. What we had for the last year was not bad I had fun but it stayed to far from the class structure. I also understand if people do not like it because of the freedom to choose whatever you wanted. Also previous games were even more restricted... with guns also being locked to classes. Glad they didn't bring that back. Also... eod bot, claymore, stinger was added..so there is more overall.

I don't think it is that good tho. I think because of agents, I just don't feel those classes. For me it just mean, that I would not use med kit or ammo crate, because they are restricted to bad agents. I don't think that in this game classes even make sense.

Small note, another advantage of pulling out the Defib is the movement advantage. You can sprint towards a dead teammate and slide, while sliding, you can start charging the Defib while moving at sprint speed. So you can sometimes quickly slide out of cover to Rez someone with just enough health for them to run back to cover, then run back to cover yourself.

The ping is great and all, but it tells you _nothing_ about what they're marking. it would've been more helpful if they gave Support a smoke launcher for the class gadget, and if they fixed the engine so it always renders smoke. Drop smoke on the guy you're trying to revive and you don't have to try figuring out if they're pinging one guy or a whole platoon or if it's something you can even damage.

It looks like they improved the graphics too. Seems smoother…. Things like explosions and flares look better. I still saw a tree spinning around in mid air though. Now if you can remove attachments from plus and get a window into what’s happening around a potential spawn point.

I suggest going to Co-Op mode and playing against the bots. You get a good feel of how each weapon handles. Plus you get to unlock new attachments.

Like George said you can play on Solo/Coop to get the feels of the guns if your curious yes you can UNLOCK every attachment the only thing you cannot do in Solo/Coop is weekly missions and acquire Tier 1 skins you need to be in a Full XP mode to get weekly missions and Tier 1 skins done. If your feeling lazy look for Mastery level farming servers which will also help get some weekly missions done.

noob question , I have some issue with the recon class... It is suppose to be the sniping class , but to be effective , it has to be on the front line and sometimes behind enemies line , like , if you staying far back , how will the respawn beacon be effective ? If you have detect enemies/scan abilities , so will it be effective if you are always near the base sniping people all over the map ?

That was one of my points of criticism before the update. Recon is hard to play now imo.

It's simple. EA never gave a second thought to how the specialist gadgets will work with classes because they never wanted classes in the first place. That's why they completely destroyed Boris's turret by turning it into an "anti-vehicle" turret that does barely any damage, why Crawford is for some reason engineer while Irish is support, even though Crawford has a stationary minigun and Irish buildable cover and APS system, and why none of the recon specialists are any good when you play recon properly. Casper is the only one with decent abilities, albeit his drone is too short-range to be used reliably, and Paik and Rao are both close range because of their abilities so they might as well not be recon.

I've been raising the same complaints ever since they got dedicated forums for feedback. For a time, they mitigated the issue with all-kit weapons and giving the class at least 1 weapon (almost always a high-level unlock) that was _almost_ effective at shorter ranges, but I'd hardly call that a proper solution.

They'll want to rebalance the scoring on that though, they messed it up in Hardline and made it award 25 points when someone interacted with your character to take health or ammo but only 10 if the collected it from a crate you put down.

@@GremlinSciences In BFV I think they had balanced this. I think it just gave the player a small resuply bonus. But the person picking up ammo from them an not a crate only got magazines. Honestly I'd prefer BFV system. Seems it was best handled there.

This may be a dumb question but as Falck do the quick revives still do full health or do you still use defib? I know she has quicker use speed for it but wondered if I quick revive if it’s doing full health anyways

The interaction revive does full health for all support specialists only Falck is faster. And with the manual revive she is faster as well if you want to go for a full revive. If you only do the quick revive they all leave their teammate with 25% health. Not sure if Falck is still faster here since the revive happens so fast in general.

Advice for assault: use zain because the airburst grenade launcher is perfect for exterminating those pesky snipers. No more rushing them down and getting killed by their sidearm, now you just get into range (100m or less) and shoot above them.

I feel this. pdate is gonna take some getting used to for me....I main the Assault Class at the moment and when I revive a squad mate now, I can't heal them solely from just pressing X on Xbox I now to combine it with the Right Trigger. Are you able to tell me if this is intentional or a fault/bug? As it takes a long time in the heat of the battle and tbh due to this I opt out of healing as more often then not I end up being killed.

The 2.5x thermal sight is amazing for spotting players and vehicles at any distance undetected. It may be better then the SOFLAM (detectable) or Casper's drone (range limit) in terms of exposing the enemy for your team. You can really impact the battle. The downside is no vehicle lockons or emp strikes (which are rare).

Another downside is that you have to give up your proficiency as a Recon to use that sight, Dice didn't see fit to give sniper rifles access to the T4 or TR1 thermal sights. The T4 wouldn't be a huge advantage for sniping though, the silhouettes are slightly blurred which makes it difficult to aim precisely at long range.

Use the the sounds of the battlefield to mask your movement. Sprint when there are explosions and gunfire and walk when it is quiet. This will help a lot with sneaking up on people. Also jump and slide for more speed and to break up the sound of your movement to make it harder for the enemy to pin point where you are and what you are doing. Learn to bunny hop and you will be much faster at moving and harder to hit.

@@drex128 bunny hopping doesn't work anymore though, you lose speed with every jump. It feels faster to hop every few steps, but you're actually slower and consecutive hops will quickly bring you to a standstill. The trick used to be to use concussion grenades to deafen and blind the target, but now they're an Assault exclusive. Smoke still works to blind them, but anyone with headphones is going to hear you running in. You can try crouching, it's supposed to be almost silent and (used to, at least) keep you off of T-UGS and prox sensors.

@@GremlinSciences Bunny hopping still works to a degree. you have to make sure to stop pressing crouch after the first initial boost. The hop will eventually lose momentum but you will get a few good ones in there and it's definitely quicker than just sprinting. If you do it down a hill you can do it all the way down if you time the jumps correctly.

A lot of people don't realize they can still spot while downed. You can even spam q on the kill screen while your camera tracks the guy to give your buddies basically a live feed of where the guy that got you is at. Bit cheesy but hey don't hate the player, hate the game

not so fun fact. the squad revive still uses the med pen in portal for the other games when you play as medic which is really annoying. considering squad revive wasn't a thing in those old games. i think this should be changed so it works like 2042.

I know it been addresses by everyone in the community already but the button mapping is terrible even after watching all kinds of different KZbinrs videos on it I still can’t get it right to a similar way it was before the update and work properly …. They didn't properly void out the old bindings, just disabled them, so they stick around until you reset the controls to default. I had to reset everything to default and rebind all my controls, but haven't had any problems since other than me actually hitting the wrong buttons when trying to throw a grenade or pull out the class gadget.

I think that Engineers have a bad time bc they have no heal option. Someone mentioned that LMGs should be for Support and SMGs should be for engineers but then the Medic class is gone and seems a bit weird for Falke to use a LMG running around the battlefield whilst healing injured people. Anyway alot of people playing Mackay for his faster strafe , hook thing to get out of dodge easily and to take the high ground, and a heal pen. Most people do not heal you - even your own team, so it’s annoying without heals. And if Mackay is meta and Falke has infinite heals then why not have Paik with wall hack without Paik being spotted, bc being spotted is rather counterproductive when they all know where you are. I think the nerf to scanning distance is enough. I think that you may aswell make all specialists OP in their own way like the vehicles and Mackay and Falke etc etc. Why bother w Engineer Liz when you can get an extra skill like Boris’ sentry gun and have 3 Javelin missiles or 3 M? RPGs…

Medics were the ones with LMGs for BC and BC2, and it worked just fine for those games. The problem with giving Engineer SMGs is that it makes them a close-range class when they're not often going to be operating at close range, and it means they end up using their rockets to deal with infantry targets at even medium range wasting their precious rockets they should be saving to use against vehicles. The real best choice for most roles is the assault rifle or carbine, while Assault should be the ones with SMGs. Recon is supposed to be a mobile class that operates close to the enemy but not taking the front lines, which means they really shouldn't be shouldered with any weapon class that needs long distances to be effective. Engineer needs something effective at close range so they can defend their ward from close-in threats and claim good positions to ambush enemy vehicles, but they also need enough range to deal with more distant threats while repairing in the open spaces vehicles tend to favor. Support can almost get away with any weapon because their role is to _support,_ but their role means they need to able to operate at the same ranges as whomever they are supporting and so they need the flexibility to operate in close quarters and long range. Medics need mobility to keep their team alive, but all that mobility is useless if they're outranged by everything else they'll be coming across when moving in for the revive. So everyone needs some level of long range ability as well as close-range viability. Assault, however, is supposed to be the ones pushing the hardest to break through enemy lines, so long range ability helps, but they're ultimately supposed to be the front lines and operating at the shortest distances.
