I used to go up and visit a very close friend up on the Bay in Washington, he owned a fantastic home on the Bay in Seguim off hwy 101. We used to catch a lot of fish, crabs, clams & oysters every day was a feast whenever visying Jerry. And travel from town to town in his boats. It was always a dream to make a home up there, but severe back issues laid me out. After 19 major operations. Being a Wildman & being disabled is no fun. But channels like this brighten up the day. And brings back so many memories of my own adventures. And hell yeah they have both the biggest & smallest oysters in the lower 48 up in Washington. And fresh is best

Better check the regulations, you can't take oysters off the beach, the spat (baby oysters) are on the shell. You must shell the oysters on the Beach, State law, unless they are farm raised such as in the video. We had a big problem with "out of towners" not following the rules. They have the right to actually take your license, prohibit you from ever fishing in Washington State again, and in some cases they can, and have taken vehicles.
@gabemeyer76466 жыл бұрын
Dann Marceau It’s private property, so I’m not sure if those regulations apply. Either way, law enforcement couldn’t get to me. Also my house is literally 12 feet from the beach (it’s my backyard), so it’s not like I would be transporting them. My neighbors and I harvest them all the time and we’ve never had any problems.

Nice little prayer at the end. Leviticus 11:9-12 9“These you may eat, of all that are in the waters. Everything in the waters that has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers, you may eat. 10 But anything in the seas or the rivers that does not have fins and scales, of the swarming creatures in the waters and of the living creatures that are in the waters, is detestable to you.11 You shall regard them as detestable; you shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses.12 Everything in the waters that does not have fins and scales is detestable to you ...well this is awkward.

I watched your video about catching and cooking lobster in Florida because I was curious and you sounded like a real pro. So then I watched the one about catching, cleaning and cooking Dungeness crab so I could tell if you were bs or not since i live in the Pacific N.W. and have been doing these things my whole life. I watched this one for the same reason.You are not only no bs.... You are right on the money about everything you say and do. If you don't know, you say so and find someone who does. VERY professional! You have a brand new fan! Liked and subscribed. Keep the great videos coming!

I'm just stumbling on your channel and I just have to post even though it's been months since this came out. It's been more years than I care to count since I was able to enjoy everything about Puget Sound area like you did. It's been my most favorite spot since my father lived there mid 70's to 80's and I got to visit him in the summer. I still have a dream of living there but family keeps me in Idaho. Thank you so much for sharing your time spent in this wonderful part of the states.
