Hell yeah, Slayer! Like you I started listening to Slayer with Seasons in the Abyss so Divine Intervention was the first new Slayer album for me and I was so stoked to get a copy of it when I had just been released. Still one of my favorite Slayer albums and such an awesome album cover by Wes Benscoter.

These videos make me realize how much I miss the music of the 90s. And also how much I under appreciated it at the time.

Lucky for you the music is still there to enjoy.

@tangoarmy yeah it's all still there, but there's nothing like it being made today. It was a great decade for music.

I had that TFP in the 90s. I think I actually bought it after seeing the movie, The Chase. They def pushed those Epitaph bands in the credits.

Dude I actually kinda got a story that has to do with that Slayer album! My dad told me this story, it was when the album came out. Basically he was over at his friends house and they recently just got that new album, listening to it and what not. For the hell of it, his friend took a lighter to the Divine Intervention CD and burnt the hell out of it, before putting it back in the CD player. Yet somehow, it STILL PLAYED. So his friend, being superstitious and really christian, took the CD out and chopped it in half with an axe, saying it was demonic. I think my dad would've (also) maybe been a junior? This was in West Virginia. Love your vids btw!

Being a young Metal Head in the 90s, highschool as well, I couldn't appreciate on how great the World Demise production was & makes it 1 of go to Obituary albums... Slayer's album is also 1 of their best, even if KK didn't approve of it , Jaja... Love these nostalgic videos Steven, keep'em comin' 🤘🏽

Man... Again a strong month in an awesome year for rock music. When it all was fresh, people were experimenting, new sounds to be discovered around every corner and on nearly each record. One could guess the 90s were the pinnacle of rock music and we see a steady decline since then. But then... It might also be nostalgia and getting old 😂 Monster is very close to Automatic For The People for me. A brilliant record, I still come back to it. Veruca Salt were great as well. I got into all the female fronted rock and the whole Riot Grrrrl stuff earlier that year, so I was looking for more along those lines. They were not exactly Riot, but great nevertheless.
