Puzzle platformers are funny If you're someone who likes console games and triple A's, you're starving for them If you play PC and follow the indie scene, you're drowning in them haha

@MerolLord10 жыл бұрын
well thats why the indie scene shines, those kinds of games dont need AAA budgets and teams to be developed, I think the industry is in a great state right now where we can get anything from epic AAA titles, to creative indie titles, each with different price tags and budgets

***** Knack's about as far from awful as games can get, it's a great game, which I know from finishing it, but each to their own. Personally I really want a sequel to knack, mainly because & to those that haven't played it & are interested in playing it spoilers: Knack doesn't really find out anything really about where he comes from. Sure you come across the stuff that looks like you & that there's other stuff a bit like you, but you learn nothing of about who created you really, so I hope a sequel comes & we learn about who made knack.

Mark Cerny is a genius. He has created a console that is crushing it competitors the world over at 2:1. I recently talked with a gamespot employee and he informed me that the PS4 was outselling the bone at 2:1 ratio. He told me that they were out of stock but had tons of bones. The PS4 is selling out as soon as retailers get them. The bones are setting on the shelves collecting dust. You can find them ANYWHERE lol.
@wackyjackscum40810 жыл бұрын
He did not create the PS4, if that is what you meant.
Muffin Man He did not create stuff, he organized the concept and put it together, all the core technologies were already in place for the PS4 to kick ass.

@MrSec8410 жыл бұрын
Me too, I think it was a great game. From my experience on various forums it tends to be those people that haven't played it that hate it. So far I've not seen anyone that's actually played it from start to finish that's hated it outright.

Then let me be the first. It was obviously going to be a much more thought out game and was rushed through for launch. The story is insanely non sensical . The combat is extremely dull. The difficultly bizarre .the co op tacked on and almost necessary . And the reply value is void
@Resifan7256831210 жыл бұрын
I agree with story but replay value is great I've played it 3 times already on my fourth

Knack is a great game. I just think it's not what people (many critics included - and it showed in their scores) were expecting for Sony to lead their next-gen charge with. I think a lot of people who haven't played it see screen shots and videos and think "This doesn't need next-gen hardware to run." But if you play it you realize there's stuff going on under the hood that would really tax the last-gen hardware.
@MrSec8410 жыл бұрын
Great interview, I agree I can't wait to see what comes from Mark Cerny next in the way of his next game, assuming he's working on a game & not doing research for the next Playstation console.

@mrhav1k22110 жыл бұрын
Spyro, Ratchet, and Jak are some of my favorites off my childhood and all time! Love those games! Although I disagree with Cerny's views on technology. The tech is important and it can't always be invisible to the user. He's right if we're talking about the Xbox 720p vs the PS4's 1080p. That honestly wont matter that much. Things like Oculus and the Omni are a BIG deal and they simply can't be ignored or be invisible to the player. I'd also like to see great gameplay mixed with great story. Give me more games like Bioshock that mix the two instead of a game that only delivers one or the other.

No loading screens in Ratchet and Clank/Jak and Daxter? Now being a huge fan of those series I can say this is incorrect. Whether he phrased it wrong or not, traveling between planets in every R/C game showed a loading screen. In Jak and Daxter, loading screens were masked by doors. Was he referring to this "masking"?
