I came here to check if the hype for the PS5 is justified. It seems to me like it is, because for the ps4 he just described basic software development processes of collaboration, and then made the PS4 a cheap PC, which is what I felt it was. I'm even more excited to see the PS5 now.

Dude is a genius really, didn't you hear him say he was in university all while being 16? This dude in the level of Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs...
@fabiosilva12693 жыл бұрын
@Landa Denise Malone Elon Musk has revolutionized the world more than Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, they just revolutionized the tech industry, Elon has done that as well with Paypal but he is taking the first people on Space Tourism Trips, created the most popular brand of cars which happens to be the most environmental friendly thus helping the decaying state of the world, prototyping extreme ways of travelling (hyperloop), in my opinion his impact in terms of importance to the world is bigger than Bill Gates or Steve Jobs. Bill Gates is the biggest philanthropist ever so maybe Elon isn't the most important but his role in helping the world to be "healthier" is one of the most important, if not the most important one.

After seeing both Road To PlayStation conferences, I've noticed that one kinda leads to the other. In The Road To PS4 Mark covers the history of the architecture and in The Road To PS5 he covers where the architecture is headed. I can only wonder where the next set of improvements to the design are going to be focused when PS6 becomes a topic of discussion. Will they keep the x86 architecture or push the move to the newer ARM or RISC V architectures to improve inter-component latency, system security, and further enhance the design with even more fixed function accelerators? Time will tell...

Hey can someone explain to me the details of the decision to go with the larger bus size (limiting the gigabytes per second of the ps4) over the more effective but difficult alternative? I understand his logic, but how does gigabytes per second effect the console's potential? Would that allow a huge increase in graphics performance? How about its effect on loading speeds, size of area loaded at a time in video games etc? Where exactly does gigabytes per second effect the ps4's performance?
