Yeah, apparently it's beyond the their time being over. They should have been withdrawn between 2019 and 2024 but the company is nice enough to still keep some of them in service.

Waterloo International closed on 13.11.2007 before services transferred to St Pancras International on the next day

Wait. Class 373 Eurostar trains had an option to be powered by 3rd rail?

@@JaNieWie Yes, they used the 3rd rail in the early years running to/from Waterloo. The equipment was removed when they started running to/from St Pancras. The newer 374s never had 3rd rail equipment.
