I just like to remind myself that all Zoe has done to Elliot is ask for an apology for treating her like shit, and all she's done to Brian is break up with him for cheating on her and constantly behaving in a criminal manner. Her being annoying doesn't mean she's actually done anything wrong to deserve harassment, which is what this is. It's not funny, he's not "based", this is harassment of someone for daring to tell him no. It's by-the-book "nice guy" behavior, this isn't character development.
