Heretic. He who loves fondue but consider it inferior to raclette should melt in the deep inferno cheese. Both are awesome. Both are tasty. Of course with raclette you got fancy meat, pickles and all of that. But it's not something about raclette. It's about traditions. Nothing stops you to add anything to the fondue. And nothing stops you to take hot potato instead of bread, to dip it in the fondue. The future is now. All is possible.

Actually, fondue was invented as a solution to a specific problem where people could not melt cheese because fun fact, cheese without additives, separates into its components when it’s heated up and cannot be put back together, In other words, melting cheese ruined the cheese for the longest time. The first fondue was made by mixing cheese with wine, because as it turns out wine kept the cheese from separating as such you could now officially make a cheese that you could melt, turn back into a solid, and then melt again. This was extremely useful in traveling situations, and the main way that this cheese was eaten, was by dipping bread in it and that’s how we got fondue. Modern fondue does not contain wine or anything like that and I cannot really remember what additive it uses now but it still does use an additive that keeps the cheese together while it’s melted. A similar additive is added in a lot of cheeses now which gives us a lot of cool things like the ability to mix cheeses, which gives us things like American cheese and other kinds of cheeses that are just mixtures. It’s also what gives us pizzas were the cheese is Melty And things like grilled cheese, which I feel are only satisfying of the cheese is melted through, So thank you fondue for making melted cheese a reality that could be used for a lot of different things o7
