I live in the north end of Bakersfield. The phone alerts said a 6.0 earthquake was imminent. Because I was walking to get out of my house I didn't feel it much. One item fell off a pile of junk and onto the floor in my spare bedroom. I have felt many earthquakes in my life and this one didn't seem very strong. Hopefully it doesn't produce a larger quake like the one from Ridgecrest did. We were camping for the 4th of July in our travel trailer about 20 or 30 miles from those quakes. Our trailer was rocking big time. It felt very safe because the trailer was built to travel into rough terrain. We just sat in our recliners and rode it out. I can't imagine a better place to be for a large earthquake. The house I live in survived the 1952 earthquake so hopefully it would do well if another big one hits. 🙏

I'm in Bako. My husband and I still had our phones and laptops on, and he was watching TV., so that 10-second blare distracted me from feeling anything. Ugh. It was so loud! It frankly freaked me out so much that I didn't have time to get in a doorway or even move away from my statement wall, which is probably the most dangerous area for a moderate quake. He is older and a cancer survivor after many years of treatment, so he moved out of instinct. I was glad for that. The Ridgecrest earthquakes were traumatic for me. I hate these things. And then, we lived in Costa Mesa for the Big Bear/Landers quakes, and my sister lived in Northridge during That quake. Her condo basically pancaked onto itself, but she was at work. Her dog was missing for hours, but she found her. My best friend lived in Woodland Hills, and he sustained a head injury. I was the safety plan manager for ChildHelp USA (a terrible organization, despite what Oprah says), so after the Big Bear/Landers quake, I had to travel from group home to group home to ensure safety. Cheers!

Dont know if it matters but I'm from Bakersfield and those quakes are in or immediately adjacent to old lake beds. Buena Vista Lake to the west and Kern Lake to the immediate east of the majority of the quakes. Formed by the Kern River, Kern Lake used to flow into Buena Vista Lake in the area of the majority of this quake activity.

And I've lived in this area for a little over 15 years and I've never seen anything like this in my life... not out here over the suburbs... These jets were low too and very visible... had everybody in awe at my work... I'm almost willing to bet we might not make it out of August without some big trouble... Dismiss me or not - I have had some success with what's called remote viewing - seeing things by going somewhere and leaving one's body behind. When I go deep into the Earth and view the interaction between the two plates, what I can pick up is that there is zero movement at this time and that stress IS building up. It's as if the two plates have reached a point where they are not able to "creep" past each other at a yearly slow rate because there is some huge amount of rock or other impediment causing the movement to have ceased, with stress building up that can only be released when the force of side to side movement, overcomes the resistance to the obstruction I just detected which was somewhere along the Southern section of the San Andreas fault. I have NO previous "proven track record" about being able to predict earthquakes. I hope I am wrong, but this is what I picked up in doing the remote viewing at some point along the Southern portion of the fault line. What I do know for certain, from what the trained geologists have been telling us for years. And that is anyone living anywhere close and especially close to any fault, MUST have both a post earthquake plan and to be prepared FOR any large earthquakes by having an emergency preparedness kit which will support you and or YOUR family, independently for up to THREE DAYS. Be SAFE, be PREPARED, be READY. A Las Vegas resident......
