I like your style. Mine is a 07 dodge 1500, 4.7-problem has been finding an upgrade, no luck at Summit Racing or on the internet, finally i tried Mechman and found a 240 amp replacement, i also have amps (3) behind the seat - peace

@@aaroncardenas9062 nope-checked everywhere, 240 will more than do my system, my stock alternator puts out 135 amps, which should be about 65-70 at idle, just enough, my lights do not dim at high volume, but thats pushing it

I have the same engine and get an average of 14.4 volts at the amp with the stock alternator. I have 9200 watts between 2 amps. I think your setup is lacking 0ga from the battery to amps. I run 2/0ga in the big 3. Everything else is 0GA SKYHIGH wire to the amp. I think I maximize my stock alternator because of my wiring. It does drop to 12.2 amps at serious bass drops but that is only when I am pushing the bass. I will upgrade the alternator one day but my setup meets my daily driving needs.

When you hook up a upgraded alternator doesn't your voltage supposed to stay on one voltage I got a 370 and it drops a meter drops under 14

You need a voltage regulator, stand alone

That is the factory Alternator sensor.

I guarantee that alt ain't no 300amp. Then eBay companies lie from experience. Get a mechman and call it a day. It's expensive but reliable.

I wouldn't call them trash, but I stopped using them a while back. I have a B2 Audio 7900 now on my subs
