I INSTALLED A MECHMAN ALTERNATOR IN MY CHEVY SILVERADO!

I decided to install this ‪@mechmanalternators‬ in my 99 Chevy Silverado after i installed 3 JL Audio TW3's in my single cab. This video can be used to install a Mechman alternator in any 99-06 Chevy Silverado /GMC 1500.

its crazy how these High output alternators handle trucks. I just installed my 250a alt w/ a gauge 0 wire 250a fuse kit. and boy doesn my 2002 escalade awd 6.0 love the power. everything is boosted my this atlernator, engine starts stronger, goes pull hill 40% better than before and my stock bose 12 spkr system sounds better with a 30 bass increase. these trucks should of come stock with these H/O alternators. man i love mines

Nice setup! XS will absolutely be a HUGE upgrade from the optima. They definitely aren't what they used to be when made in Aurora Colorado 20 years ago.

i ust bagged my truck. it has a brand new optima battery liek yours, led head/tailights, sounds sytem with 3 amps and accu air pressure + system. its been 6 days since i last turned it on fully. now it has no power . i wired everything correctly. do yolu think i might need that alternator? because im also going to add wheelgihts

I would recommend installing another battery. Maybe one for your truck and your air management system and the other solely for your audio system. I don’t think that’s the reason your truck is dead. I think something is draining your battery. You need to figure out what is draining it.
