Wearing the right kit is essential as well for a beginner. As the engine gets quite hot good quality shorts and gym shoes works well. Also, as many new riders learn in summer a tee shirt should be enough and remember, gloves are for loosers.

The most powerful bike I've ever ridden made approximately 200chp (about 160-170whp) and that was already too fast than most mere mortals can handle, at least in my opinion. I feel like adding an extra 130+whp to it along with the extra brutality of shifting in between is almost non existent, but yet here I watch this mad man ride a 300whp+ superbike and I think differently. I had the engine rebuilt 4 times and put over 100,000 miles on it, sold it before I went into the Air Force in 1975. I’m 69 now and bought the first year model of the 2nd generation Concours 14. You will love the BOV, but it’s not obnoxious at all, after a few rides you don’t notice it standing out, it just becomes part of the power symphony that is an H2. @Trackhawk707 Жыл бұрын
That’s what immediately came to my mind when he kept missing gears. The sudden drop in power then instantly putting that much power back on will cause death wobbles right? Luckily I’ve never experienced that before and hope I never do. The majority of people I’ve encountered said the best thing to do is not fight it or let off and it’ll sort itself out fairly quickly. 300hp - the really important number is HP per ton, and with a typical-weight rider and a tank of gas that bike is in the region of 1200HP/ton. I don't think any current road cars can beat that. The best car driver I ever went (ex-pro rally and Formula 3) with reckoned he could handle 400-500HP/ton but 600 would scare him. Yup, that's a quick machine you've got there.

Rear tire mile ratings should come with one of these! I was a mechanic in a Honda shop back in the '80's, and this black guy would come in complaining about the rear tire wear on his V-65 Magna. The owners would allow customers to come back in the mechanics area and watch (a REAL pain in the ass...) and he kept saying he never spun the rear tire. The V-65 was nothing compared to this, but it was a torque monster for it's time....pulled HARD through the gears!! I finally looked at the guy and said 'Do you ever get on it?....run it through the gears hard?'....he nodded, and I said 'moving all of that motorcycle and you down the road that quickly, the tire is shedding rubber to keep it stuck to the ground...lay off the right hand if you want the tire to last.'

Most death wobbles are from people gripping the bars hard during acceleration

Death wobbles are from steering instead of leaning on str8 line

Can I ask what your clutch issues were and how you solved them? I’ve had a few clutch issues myself with my H2. Just curious if there is a simple fix I have missed. Thanks!
@joesti76073 жыл бұрын
Mine was just wear related. I replaced all the friction plates and spacer plates with all oem stuff and it fixed it. You need Brocks springs too.

Can I ask how much is price of H2? And is it legal to ride it in public streets?
@mechveteran01 Жыл бұрын
@@GamePro-gd7rm you're looking at right around $30,000+ and yes, the H2 is street legal. The H2R however (which is even faster and more powerful) is not street legal.
