Over 300 pieces a day! We closely follow the morning preparations at a hamburger restaurant that is packed to capacity as soon as it opens!
Miura's Hamburgers in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, is a restaurant with a long line of customers who come for its tender, juicy hamburgers that are both inexpensive and delicious. The hamburgers are handmade in the restaurant every day, and are never left ready to be made or grilled.
The cheapest lunch is a hamburger steak by itself for 480 yen (150g).
This comes with rice and miso soup for 600 yen, which is surprisingly inexpensive! +For an additional 100 yen, you can have a second helping of rice.
At lunch time, many customers arrived, and the restaurant was fully booked, with a long line outside. The meat was tender and irresistible when eaten with the restaurant's special sauce. By the way, why do hamburgers on a griddle get me so excited ( laughs)?

I love the sizzle. But it doesn't look like any hamburger I've ever seen in the US. It looks like chicken? Can anyone who's lived there explain?

The Japanese HAMBĀGU ハンバーグ is derived from the original Germany Hamburg, which predates American-style Hamburgers. The German dish contains ground meat combined with breadcrumbs, and sometimes onions. During the late 19th Century, that dish was introduced to Japan by European merchants, where it was further developed into a Japanese version. The Japanese HAMBĀGU and American Hamburger are two different branches that descended from the original dish.

It really looks more like a ground beef and not a hamburger and special when you look at the rest it get served with. But I think it looks good and something i would like to try. I would like to have a bit more comments from the staff and talk about the groceries and working hours and such. Do people work there part time or full employee's. Thanks to this youtube video i will save this restaurant for a place to visit if I will be able to visit Japan and this area. Japan is a place i really wanna visit but damn it's expensive to go there. Can stay in Thailand/China for a month for the same price in Japan for about a week to 2.
