Same for me. Thankfully there is a little road across the street that I can go back and forth on but without the room to get used to turning around correctly with a lot of space I’m stuck riding down in first , stopping, putting into neutral and using my legs over and over to back up. I’m not sure where this is, but in Florida you’re required to go through a safety course to receive a motorcycle license. Personally I’ve been riding since the age of four years old and professionally road raced for Buell. That being said when I worked for Harley Davidson and had a chance to ride a big bagger, I was surprised how difficult it was to maneuver at slow speed. I guess my point is no matter how good you think you are, there is always room for improvement.

Unbelievable how many people hop on a 900 Lb. bike and haven't a clue how to ride it. I rode my Scout for about a year, which is only 550 Lbs wet, and I was still scared to death to get on my buddy's Street Glide and Soft Tail Slim. I rode them both around a parking lot to get a feel for braking, low-speed handling and slow speed turns before taking either on the road. These crazy people show up with a wallet full of cash, hop on a new bike and drive it home on the same highways the rest of us are using. This isn't a game and these aren't toys! I've ridden with people who are afraid of their bikes and they scare me! I stay far away from them.
