You got to give people credit for even going to any kind of training like this. So many just get a huge, beautiful bike and go out in traffic and try to train themselves. So, yeah I don't laugh at them at all. instead I thank God they are learning before I have to share the streets with them. Thanks Jerry, for doing what you do.

It is amazing how you deal with so many different riders of different skill levels. That dude is 500 percent safer than he was when he got there in just 15 minutes. I hope he continued to improve over the rest of the lesson. I also commend the rider who came back to do it again. Thumbs up guys

As a retire police instructor and current HD Riding Academy rider coach I am amazed at the number of so called experienced riders that say they don't need refresher training because they have 20 experience. When I watch them try to make limited space maneuvers on a parking lot it obvious that they have 1 years experience 20 times.

Same for me. Thankfully there is a little road across the street that I can go back and forth on but without the room to get used to turning around correctly with a lot of space I’m stuck riding down in first , stopping, putting into neutral and using my legs over and over to back up. My legs are exhausted it being a 900 pound bike and all lol. Wish so bad there was a parking lot like this over there.

I assume Netherlands has similar (or identical) requirements for motorcycle licence as other EU countries - you will learn maneuvers like this as a part of compulsory training in first 2-3 hours. There is no way to get a licence/on road in EU if you can't do a slalom or U turn. I doubt they will train you on 7 meters long Harley though ;)

Here in Australia I've downloaded The DVD and put myself and my Victory thru the exercises. I actualy found the U-turn easier than the offset cone weave. Down here we drive on the left side and our measurements are metric, so a lot of feet got divided by 3, when laying out the obstacles in the car park.

I’m not sure where this is, but in Florida you’re required to go through a safety course to receive a motorcycle license. Personally I’ve been riding since the age of four years old and professionally road raced for Buell. That being said when I worked for Harley Davidson and had a chance to ride a big bagger, I was surprised how difficult it was to maneuver at slow speed. I guess my point is no matter how good you think you are, there is always room for improvement.

I don't understand why people insist on starting out with such a huge bike. Is the average persons first car a Lambo or Ferrari? I think not. I'm glad classes like this exist, wish there were more. I also with posters of this type of video would show diagrams of the course. I would love to go out and set up cones to improve my riding. Copying the layout presented here can help me also improve my riding skills. It would be nice to know so that I don't frustrate myself with cones too close or make it too easy with cones too far apart.

Unbelievable how many people hop on a 900 Lb. bike and haven't a clue how to ride it. I rode my Scout for about a year, which is only 550 Lbs wet, and I was still scared to death to get on my buddy's Street Glide and Soft Tail Slim. I rode them both around a parking lot to get a feel for braking, low-speed handling and slow speed turns before taking either on the road. These crazy people show up with a wallet full of cash, hop on a new bike and drive it home on the same highways the rest of us are using. This isn't a game and these aren't toys! I've ridden with people who are afraid of their bikes and they scare me! I stay far away from them.
