New rider here with a legitimate question. At 3:57, you took a curve at a speed over three times faster than the posted speed. Why? Then later at 4:57 you were well over the posted speed again. Do all riders do this?

I think it's more an inexperience/incompetence thing. It's far more common with newer riders, and their fear of committing to the lean and trusting the bike and the physics involved. It takes some miles to learn and trust the fact that the bike will lean much further than you think it can, and hold traction perfectly fine until you're dragging the mufflers on the ground and ripping them off the bike, or getting road rash on the bottom of your primary cover.

Just bought a 24 for 4k less then msrp. Just saying Harley will work deals to move the 24 cause a lot of people don't like them. I do love my 23 tho got that for less then msrp too. Both are Road glided

It’s really disappointing seeing these comments about a rider training trying to get better and people are trashing him. People acting like they knew how to ride a motorcycle the moment they sat on one and can drove it professionally.

Hello 👋 greetings from Ireland. I think i am at the stage quitting riding. I watched one of the videos i am like a lady Linda. I just going way too wide and cant even turn right. 😕 i come to car park where my kind friend brings the bike and just feel its noo improvement whats so ever. I feel i know technique all basics. But once i am on the bike my hands tight cant think cant see all goes wrong. All i can to do go nice straight and turn wide left. And feel ok stopping and thats. Its been a year and feel totally stuck 😞

Looking at Harley Davidson's woke moves; now you know what the invasion of European board members is doing to this nation. HD is not the only one. Don't believe for 1 second that the announcement of rolling back SOME of the woke nonsense that they were imposing on the employees won't just result in some other maneuvers. It is 100% Foreign Political inspired. I suggest that people look into Saul Alinsky (both Obama and Clinton adopted his tactics and now Biden/Harris). The infiltration has been at the top levels of many US corporations and will be difficult to root out. By the way, if you EVER toured the plant in York, you'll see mostly German machinery. But a lot of the parts come from Japan, and Italy.

Thanks for giving us the MPH. I feel like it's easier with some speed but as someone just going through the MSF course they never said what an appropriate speed is. I'm an engineer, I like numbers and clear direction lol

Jerry is undoubtedly the best. HOWEVER- I see him using only two fingers for the front brake. I had instruction many, many years ago by a city motorman in Miami. He made sure we all used all four fingers at all times. If you need to stop quick you have much more power that way. It has saved me a couple times.
@motorman8572 күн бұрын
Many years ago you needed 4 fingers on the front brake. That's no longer the case with today's motorcycles. In addition, 4 fingers on todays brakes, up the chances of grabbing or snatching that front brake both of which can cause the front wheel to tuck under.
@tomsage653Күн бұрын
@@motorman857 Thanks for the input. I ride my 20 yr old Road King and there’s no way this old fart could get maximum braking with 2 fingers. I don’t understand how you could get too much braking on the front and tuck under, whatever that is. Jerry teaches maximum braking on the front. Plus newer Harleys have anti skid. ( Best invention ever for a bike.) I’ve ridden new demo bikes and with just normal riding, the brakes feel just like mine. I’ve seen Jerry a couple times at Leesburg Bikefest and it seems I remember him saying what the Miami cop said about emergency braking. Brake as hard as you can on the front and let your weight pushing forward apply that momentum amount on the back so it doesn’t skid. Does not apply with anti skid. All the best. Ride safe.

Way back in the day I used to buy motorcycle magazines and there was an article that taught me these techniques. Then I went out to practise on my Kawasaki KZ 650. I had a few bikes since then and am planning on buying a used bagger. I’ll be taking a course and probably buy an online training course. Hope your training is available online for more detailed techniques.

Yes my training is of course available on line. The Ride Like a Pro Experience, video is a step by step instructional video and available on DVD, download or USB. Go to ridelikeapro.com the best 20 bucks you'll ever spend on your motorcycle.

Probably I'm kinda pissedy son took his motorcycle in they said it would be 550 then they found something wrong with it it went up to 911.16 then they called again said they found something else with went to 994. So me and my son went and he asked them if it was still 994they said yes just 6 days ago then they called a couple of days ago and it was 1774 something so he complain and he ended up still paying 1329.41 and he only makes 20 dollars an hour it's gonna take him about a month or so to pay that off Last time we're going there
