The anti hairwrap head on the dyson is the game changer, the amount of times ive had to cut hair off a regular head is annoying every week but the dysonntech actually works probably needs detangling every few months or so it really works so for the slightly better pick up of the ryobi the dyson does it for me

The biggest problem for all the vaccums not picking up so well on hard floor is the shear amount of debris trying to be picked up. Only a shop vac or commercial vac would handle such a mess.

True, but tests tend to be above and beyond the ordinary to prove/show just what's capable. If they picked up the large debris, at least you know they'll grab things on the floor if there happens to be the odd item of that size lying around (rather than a million in one place) instead of just kicking it into the wall, window or dog! My biggest disappointment was that the ryobi seemed to just grind the white powder into the floor - no a very promising sign for what's going on when vacuuming carpet.

Another test you might want to consider is vacuuming pet hair. The pet hair from a chocolate lab clogs up the intake. This is even vacuuming after prior sweeping. It is definitely not fun to have to disassemble the vacuum cleaner to remove clogged pet hair. I never anticipated the dog would shed as much as it does. Perhaps I should have invested more money than buying a Wyze machine. Keep up the excellent reviews.

Should note that lower AH packs are usually just a single series where larger packs use 2 series in parallel. This means that even with the same cells larger packs can discharge twice as much current. So you're not just trading off runtime you're also losing current which means less suction.

Lower Ah packs are made of 5 series connected 18650 batteries. The higher Ah packs are made of two rows (or 3 for the 9Ah) of 5 series connected 18650 batteries with the rows of 5 being connected in parallel. The peak current is the same the only difference is run time.

Yeah, there's no reason to use Max at all on the V15 (except in above-floor cleaning), since the moment you start running over heavy debris it steps up automatically. It's not like the V11 where it only auto-boosts when it detects carpet.

I would like to know that as well because for as much as I like this vacuum cleaner it drains the battery fast and that's with me using a 5A/H pack, not a 4A/H model like in the video. Without using the powered head it will from full charged to the low voltage cut-off take around 15 minutes. Much less again if using the powered head.

The slit in the brush roller for the Ryobi is for a knife to cut through hair I think. Can you pull the brush roller out and operate it with just the soft fuzzy roller? Will it still roll? Great video... thx! For me, the Dyson wins: it has more powerful suction. I don't ever have chunks of cereal laying around the floor, and if I did I would not vacuum such ever regardless of vacuum; I would simply sweep that into a dustpan. But I do want all dog hair picked from the hardwood floor, and for that the Dyson performs better. Thanks again.

I'm using exactly the same vaccum but it turns on in normal mode and I have to press the second button to get it in turbo/max mode. So I have to press 3 buttons: 1. I just bought this Ryobi vacuum. Like the presenter I have tons of batteries. I can't say enough about the quality of Ryobi batteries. They last for years and have worked for me in -20 and super hot days. We bought a Dyson and it was great for a while. Then the hair from our dogs just overwhelmed it, even though it was specifically designed for dog hair. At 8 months the battery gave out and the replacement cost was too much to justify it. I've already vacuumed my entire house with one 4 amp hour battery and I have like 10 of them ready to go. The Ryobi does need a little more time, or you have to go a slower, but it gets everything. That and the dump system and filter are easier to clean makes it a big win. Oh, and the Ryobi warranty is bulletproof and you can do that at Home Depot.

The ryobi wins for sure because of price point plus the only con you kept mentioning about the weight is as easy as a battery change so ryobi all day

My newer LG cord zero has dual roller bar thing like the Ryobi. And my LG cord is zero also has the self empty base and my old one does not have it.

The issue with the Ryobi is that massive bulky head - makes it less then enjoyable maneuvering around furniture etc.

You say it is the only vacuum with dual rollers but I have had Shark Dual (based on your recommendation) for over a year. How do they stack up against each other?

I prefer dyson because I like more light feeling ... big double rodes make it harder to handle.. I think depending of what can your afford will be the choice.. for me I been vacuum with dyson and my house is super clean and the best for me is the light feel that my house that is 2 floor I finished very fast

I'm a huge Ryobi fan as well. A small portion, very small, are garbage but, and this is a big but, most tools are very decent. Having a dozen or so 18v 4Ah batteries means I can cherry pick the better Ryobi tools. So, if some tool is rated higher and even has a similar runtime, I'll stick with Ryobi.

For me the noise level is very important and it sounds like the Ryobi is really loud. Are there any major difference?

The dual roller bar is my favorite. Shark also has dual action, I love those vacuums as well.

Ryobi fan boy before it started, I have alot of ryobi tools and batteries and one of there older vacs but I wouldnt go ryobi for another, you cant be a master of everything! i do like swapping my batteries between tools but somtimes it isnt better and worth paying more if you want a battery powered vac, i wouldnt pay for a dyson but maybe a shark, came across the vids as im eyeing up battery vacs. enjoyed the vid though, im pretty bad with the ryobi myself. alot of the gardening tools are great with battery swaps
