Video did not show the whole area of the 300 sq. Foot apartment... It just showed bits and pieces of apartment... It was hard to get the feeling of the floor plan... other than that it was okay thanks

IT LOOKS great. Is there any legal rules to having an apartment without proper windows or fire space?
@iamloved3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, there are rules for egress and fire codes for rental apartments. We were simply updating the existing basement for the family to use.

I see more of her then I do of the actual apartment. She's cute and all but I'd rather see a walk through of the space from different angles.

Hi I need some serious help I have a small basement flat And am struggling to organise Where I can put everything

It can be challenging for sure. You could consider searching for professional organizers in your area for some storage tips and tricks.

I live on Social Security. I share a condo with my 21 yr old daughter and her husband and granddaughter. They complain about me being in the living room and kitchen yet they use my furniture and all my kitchen thing and they eat my food up with in days. I need to turn my bedroom bathroom and walk-in closet into with a very small apartment or mother in law suit. I think I can turn one side of my closet into a dry kitchen. But getting the bedroom so I can have a living room is baffling. Please any ideas you may have would be such a blessing.
@iamloved2 жыл бұрын
Oh I'm sorry you're feeling cramped. It can be a real struggle. Would you consider a twin size bed to double as a sofa (like in this video)? Or a sofa bed that can pull out to be your bed in the evening? We recently put a pull out loveseat in a small mother-in-law suite that is the size of a double bed. Then we added a wall of cabinets and counters from IKEA along with some electric burners for a "stove", a fridge and microwave. The sink in the bathroom is what she uses for her kitchen sink. Not ideal, but it really works well for her, especially if you select a bar sink faucet instead of a bathroom faucet. I hope this helps!

I love these ideas. Do you share the cost of doing this? I’m new to your channel but thinking of renting out the finished basement after adding a small kitchen
@iamloved2 жыл бұрын
@@MsCcarter21 Hey there! Thanks for watching. I didn't share the cost of this project as the homeowner wanted to keep it under wraps. This I can tell you... it was under $5,000 as plumbing and electrical were already in place as it had been an apartment previously.
@mfs83112 жыл бұрын
How difficult was the zoning approval process for this?
@iamloved2 жыл бұрын
There was already a basement apartment in the space, so zoning wasn't required to update it.
@iamlovedАй бұрын
It depends on where you live. No zoning was needed for this project as it was previously an apartment.

Where is the dish drying rack? It doesnt seem functional...
@iamloved3 ай бұрын
She stores it under the sink and pulls it out when needed. Very functional.

Ingeniously designed, but too tiny for me, plus no natural light.

Ya the natural light part would be super challenging for me as well.
@donniemoder14662 жыл бұрын
Sorry, ceiling too low in the kitchen. Are you kidding me? Iamnotinlovewithit.
@iamloved2 жыл бұрын
It is quite low. The homeowners worked worked with the basement space as it was. Digging out the foundation to give more ceiling height would have cost far too much money.

Worst camera angles i have seen. As a viewer i find it hard to get a sense of how the space is used. You could have zoomed out more often.

Thanks for the feedback. This was one of the first projects I ever filmed. The camera angles, lighting, audio, etc. could all use some improvement.
