This malfunction was coursed by a signalling system fault in the Whittlesford area or by the immense heat that it was that day.
We got permission from the signaller to cross whilst the barriers where down as the nice lady phoned up and asked heh, but in the next video the crossing is down for 14 minutes due to the back log of trains that got held up by the signalling fault and them trains bieng held at red signals so have fun watching.

Brilliant video Will! Some serious signal problems there, leaves me wondering why the level crossing didn't timeout at all. Ironic that Duxford crossing fails and its one that's not upgraded on this line 😎

Brilliant catch Will! 😁👍 I don't get why Network Rail haven't given this crossing an upgrade and yet they've upgraded another crossing nearby (Hinxton). What I'm even more surprised about, is the fact that they haven't upgraded the lights to LEDs here yet! Oh, and also, congrats for 300 subscribers! 😃😃👏

Even though the signalman would say cross the line I personally wouldn’t just in case a train does come and also maybe it was the heat that caused the level crossing to malfunction

I mean you can see quite far down the line plus the trains where moving at a reduced speed because I think it was a fault with the signalling system that caused the crossing to malfunction because of the heat, I do remember it being very hot that day.

Do you guys just use trail times and train line apps to track the trains or is it a different app

For this video I didn't use anything as you could look down the line becomes the trains were stopping at the signals outside of the crossing but sometimes I use ether RealTime Trains or Open Train Times

There actually not apps there websites realtime trains is timetables and open train times is where you can actually see where your train is on a map

What an irritating video. Totally unnecessary. Would have been better if you’d muted the tedious chat and alarm. And put the filming device in a cradle or something.

Well to be honest I was quite a lot younger then and that’s how I used to film, I don’t don’t speak anymore and I couldn’t really mute the alarms or the videos would of been silent. I assume by your profile picture your not into crossings as much as trains, but oh well guess it’s not every one’s interest.
