I went to Somerset House for a photography exhibition. They soon jumped on me saying I was not allowed to use a 'professional camera'. I asked them to define a 'professional camera' also pointing out there were no restrictions on photography listed on their web site or ticket purchase conditions and there were no signs anywhere saying 'no photography' or people with 'smart phones' being harassed. London's foremost Nikon camera company were there, demonstrating & allowing people to try 'professional cameras' and Nikon UK were there with their own 'professional photographers and studio' teaching visitors how to use the cameras!!! This stumped them a little. The next year, tickets stated 'no telephoto lenses' so I took a huge 50mm lens instead.
