Hi, I have the same puzzle but im stuck and and dont know what to do ...I have 2 pieces that dont fit anywhere (im still doing the "frame" (the outer part) and im left with 2 pieces... both sides are 40 pieces , the bottom is 73 and top 75 but these 2 pieces dont fit anywhere in the bottom...

I was having similar difficulties for a long time, but got it right at last. It sure felt like there was something wrong with the pieces... I can't remember anymore, but probably I mixed up some side pieces with bottom pieces. The differences in the colors and shapes are sometimes very subtle. Also see my comment below on the cut pattern.

How Long did it take you to finish? We have the same one and we are working on it now:

@@MsJetaime6 The cut pattern repeats; the left side pieces have the same shapes as the ones on the right side - so you might accidentally misplace some pieces on a wrong side, since they are almost perfect fit there too. Color changes are often minute so have some good lighting.
