Hey bro, u must turn to left mode too('P' alphabet i though it is Pulse mode). It is for ice crushing but u have to turn to each side for 2 seconds or until u see your food move down to the blade and then u can hold for long time for smootnies till u satisfied. I recommend u should put ice cube to the bottom of jar fisrt then put your foods follow ice , i use 4 ice cube and do my vegetable and fruits. It is like rice porridge. U r not neccessary to shake a jar, that does not help. Dont forget put water into it too but not to much , i fill just 1.5/4 of jar. Depend on amount that u wanna drink , test it
