the 6g72 is based on the 4g63 design. cams ,head are identical. what the 6g72 needs is a strong crankshaft.

The VR4’s from Gen 2 up came with factory forged cranks, I believe the Gen 1’s were cast

It’s a 94 engine with a 5 speed transmission trust me is fast. If it was a six speed it would be slower , it hits 85 in 2nd gear and 135 in 3rd

How much (peak) boost? Mine made 540AWHP at 22psi on 93 octane pump gas. 19T's as follows: (Subaru compressor housings machined for 19T compressor wheels), Stock 9b turbine housings machined out for the larger TD04HL turbine wheels (9 blade design). Had to modify the wastegate actuator brackets to fit the Subaru housings and had to modify the passenger side radiator fan (that was a bit of a pain) but otherwise, they bolted right on. ETS front mount intercooler, 680cc injectors, MAF translator with GM 3" MAF sensor, Aeromotive 320ltr/hr fuel pump hot wired, fuel rail loop upgrade, Innovate wideband to keep an eye on AF's. A/F's were around 11.1 @ 22psi peak boost on Costco pump 93 octane fuel. Temp was approx 90 degrees in the dyno room. This was on a Mustang dyno that is known for reading very low. I am also running the OBX headers (fitment was horrible BTW...so be prepared to modify), and the 3SX downpipe and pre-cat eliminators. OBX exhaust from the 3SX downpipe to the mufflers. (full 3"). Car pulls really well for what it is. We figure it's making somewhere north of 600hp at the crank to post those numbers. 19t's on these cars (or the newer 20t's) are a great bolt-on option.

@@snipinmonsta No sir. I'm running the Aeromotive 320ltr/hr pump hotwired. Without the hotwire kit, it gets about 11.2v at the pump. With the hotwire kit I'm seeing approx 13.6v back at the pump.

How’s the power at higher rpm’s I want my stealth to pull hard up top past 4K but I always see these dyno sheets where the power falls off past 5k it’s really confusing me

@@jose.feknes8092 he may need a better ignition system. Mine keeps pulling (hard) all the way to 7k or until I shift. I am running the HKS Twin Power ignition amplifier (gold colored box). It hooks into your factory coils and increases the spark to your plugs so you don't accidentally extinguish the spark in high boost (high load) situations.

Well it’s a 94 and up engine that used to have a six speed but now is a 5 speed transmission. That’s already faster without big turbos ore a turning . It goes 84 in second gear and 134 in 3rd big difference

The only way these car can be fast fast and quick is if it’s pushing about close to 650 hp even then 300zx twin turbos are slow probably due to turbo lag what I’m trying to say stock wise them cars are slow

Cars on a dyno can overheat due to being stationary if run hard for a long time even with a proper fan setup. One way to remedy this is to run the car’s heating system on full blast. You open everything up to keep from baking yourself inside the car. Another reason is to keep fresh air moving through the cabin because a stationary car on a dyno can also build up tire and exhaust fumes inside. Opening windows and the hatch helps alleviate this problem. I used to do the same thing as these guys when running my 2nd gen Talon on the dyno. Always had the hatch open.
