Nitto Performance Engineering has their parts in the quickest and fastest RB powered cars in the world. They've now developed a crankshaft that allows the use of wider big end bearings and the ability to push to 3000hp with their alloy rods and new pistons. It will also be available in street trim with steel rods and designed for 2000hp.

Yes Australian parts rule RB engines but Vr engines are American ruled Only reason RB engines are so popular in Australia is that they came in OEM cars in Australia , America never got the RB in OEM applications but they got the 2jz that's why the 2jz is so far ahead in development

Nitto has really gone beyond what anyone has thought possible... and to think that 800hp street gtrs from the 90's used to be the pinnacle... now 1500hp is "Standard" and 2000hp for street cars is going to be the new norm... makes my teenage dream cars from japan seem like little toys now.

Lets be real, its mainly the top shops and only drug dealers running “1500hp” street cars. I wouldnt call it a standard, more what can be achieved with a 250k+ budget. I would say 600 / 800 is more common then anything else.

Great video, but I can’t wrap my head around how the horse power adds up along the crankshaft front to back. Is it because the output is at the back and it is seeing the reacting the torsional forces of the tyres and inertia of the vehicle?
@MotiveVideo
@MotiveVideo 4 жыл бұрын
Think of it this way. The 3000hp all meets at the be of the crab where it joins to the flywheel or pressure plate. The rest of the drivetrain is the restriction right there.
@spacecowboy776
@spacecowboy776 4 жыл бұрын
lever arms, increase in force based upon the length of the lever arm. dont think in horsepower but instead in torque in the example the increase in torque was based on length from first piston to last piston. each piston puts out 500ft-lbs, then multiply it by the number of pistons you moved away from. example: v8 making 200 ft-lbs per cylinder(or horsepower its only an estimation). all the cylinders are attached to a single crank. the end of the first row makes 400 ft-lb combined, so the measurement at the end of the second row makes what combined? (800ft-lbs or 200 ft-lb x 4 cylinders)
