Great work, and fantastic results. You mention fitting the swingarm from an H2SX won’t work as it hasn’t got the cutout like the regular H2 has. The cutout in the H2 swingarm is for the fuel pump bulge in the under tray, not for shock clearance, I’ve fitted H2 Ohlins to a SX with no clearance issues. The SX swingarm is 15mm longer and would give you some help during launches..😁

awesome video. so the cat removal wouldnt bring much in power? i have your intercooler in my h2sx, awesome work i got from you. But i have a little question: when riding 20km on autobahn at vmax i get ~70°C IAT on hot days at 30°C ambient temp (much lower then without IC, before i read 90+°C), so i have concerns about increasing ignitiontiming. On Dyno i have only 40-45°C. When i go to maximum ignition on this low IAT i guess i will kill the engine on autobahn?
@extcreat2 жыл бұрын
You need to be careful adding too much ignition timing to these bikes especially when pump fuel, @ 70 deg C your ecu will start pulling timing anyway so there's no point adding more. I'm not going to quote an ignition timing figure you should be using as I don't know your exact fuel & engine setup, Im happy to discuss it further if you email me.

Curious if EC intends to design a Z H2 drop in cam or test dropping in H2/H2R cams. Seems H2 cams with a 100 centerline on both will add a good bit over 10k, but should have gains from 4k to redline. 330+ seems easily attainable with a cam swap. Looking at all the part numbers it requires only springs, seats, retainers and to be an H2 spec valvetrain.

Solid solid stuff. If you increase the fuel pressure by 10 psi and shorten the injector pulse width you'll make more power on the pump gas tune. It was probably having issues with atomization and not necessarily ignition. You could also decrease the gap in the plugs by a few thousands at a time. Very impressive numbers however.

Plugs were gapped down, fuel atomisation wasn't the issue.

Kind of a hail mary here to see if i can get some answers about the injector balance tables for this bike. I've asked in forums , facebook and looked at posts made by people about the injector balance but I am asking something a little different. After you flow tested the uppers and lowers you found them to be 470cc and 320cc respectively. Im not going to go into or ask about if you can make more hp by leaning more on the upper injectors my question is about injector capacity. The stock calibration uses the upper injectors at wide open for 55% of the fuel and the lowers for 45%, with that taken into account the total fuel flow is 402cc's a min. If you were to add power or go to something like ethanol why couldnt we increase these percentages past 100% collectively to cover the added fuel demand? Say you change the tune to 100% upper injectors and 100% lower injectors at wide open so you are using the complete fuel delivery capacity of those injectors (790cc's) would this work and if not why not? I'm aware you can just add bigger injectors but if fuel delivery is still left on the table with those stock injectors it seems like a no brainer to just bump up the upper and lower %'s to go past 100% collectively. This would in theory give you more than enough injector for a lot of power and ethanol.

Adding the H2 swingarm is a bad move for sure if you want to put the power down. Adding extensions to the factory arm is a much better idea. NO WAY are you using that much power with a stock wheelbase bike

So if the pistons look THAT similar, what in the engine block creates the higher compression ratio? Is it the head being shallower? thinner gasket? I can't imagine that piston alone makes all the compression ratio difference... I've watched the video back so many times and cannot see a difference xD
@lucasreis72222 жыл бұрын
Piston shape and head chamber, these are factors that make the "famous" compression ratio, any small change in one of these points changes the rate drastically, either increasing the rate, or loosening or decreasing the compression rate.
@lucasreis72222 жыл бұрын
a higher compression ratio, results in higher mid-range torque, lower compression ratio, less torque and longer engine life, H2 spins at 14,000 RPM, and has a ratio of 8.5, h2 sx 11.5 and spins 12k RPM
@09mantlek2 жыл бұрын
@@lucasreis7222 thank you Lucas. I didn’t realise such small changes make a big difference. I guess the head is different aswell since we know inlet and exhaust ports are different. I would defo take the higher compression ratio for better fuel economy. I’ve heard H2 owners get 50 miles per tank 💀. I think Kawasaki overdone it slightly by lowering the compression ratio on the H2 a bit too much. They couldn’t have known people would change gears when it was released but maybe being their first forced induction premium bike they didn’t want to take chances. The H2SX is a tourer so they had to increase it otherwise it would lose to other bikes. I want stage 2 or 3 in mine once I got all the money saved but will be seeking a professional in this area to do the tuning.
@lucasreis72222 жыл бұрын
@@09mantlek H2 is a very sensitive motorcycle to the temperature of the air box, if it gets too hot you lose 15-20 hp easily, in my opinion this h2 project should come with an intercooler, or kawasaki increases the efficiency of the supercharger, today the H2 makes 1.2 - 1.3 bar with original gears, that's a lot, it generates a lot of heat, the ideal was to come from the factory with 0.7 - 0.8 bar, it would generate less heat and keep the same current power.
@lucasreis72222 жыл бұрын
@@09mantlek if i had a H2/H2 sx and i need a few more hp, i would upgrade the supercharger wheel, original is 68mm size, i would upgrade to 72mm, with original SC gears, you can add +- 30 whp or more, that means making more power and having a lot more efficiency, and I would add an intercooler along with a new fuel pump.
