Reference Cylinder 2, check for inductions leaks to make sure it's not going lean before messing with airflow or fueling too much. With EFII and the Barrett induction, it should be pretty well balance. Could be a weird airflow ripple, but induction leaks are often forgotten when looking for heat.

That was my first thought but no induction leaks that I can find. It does have the coolest egt of all the cylinders. But when leaning at altitude it peaks at the same time as the others. With the efii you can tune each individual injector and I have all the cylinders peaking at the same time.

I’m using stol speed vg’s. Still experimenting with placement but I can tell you that placement is very important.

@@dougdrinkwater1119 Doug I just saw this, so sorry I did not respond sooner. I am in the final stages of the build, actually going to see Virgil in person in a few weeks. I initially intended to do build videos, pretty easy for me relative to work. But I did not as the video editing time was just going to be more than I was willing to spend. With my work schedule all my time at home is spent either working on the plane or spending time with my wife and I was not willing to detract from either of those. I will have Companion flying videos up soon

What do you think you could do to bring steal speed down into the low 30kt range? 50-60kt stall speed seems pretty high for a STOL aircraft.

I’m a mph guy. After further testing. My stall is 48mph with a forward CG and no vortex generators. Vg’s should drop it by another 5ish. But that said I am experimenting with some aero stuff. Goal is to get it to 40 or below.
