That's what I was thinking as well, but there are a few things to note, First, he attempted to put them on the stack but it wouldn't fit alongside the other chips on top of the plaque.. Shortly after that he quickly puts both stacks out in a string. I believe most players here clearly realized he intended to bet that amount and wouldn't consider it a string bet. Another thing to note, is he never looks at any players in between the string bet to place a read, which from my knowledge is one of the main reasons players try to do this (besides gauging your reaction and if you call floor etc). Lastly, I'm sure given the stakes, no player at the table would ever dare object to any string bet that was pushed out withing 2 secs of first bet.

Very much agree and surprised not to see more comments like this! It seems the okay very short stacks for the stakes. Watching high stakes is fun usually because you get to see the best minds in the game work their way through intricate deep stack spots with room for play on every street. In this game it seems a 3 bet is just a shove and that's it. Or else you get a limp or raise followed bu a multiway flop and someone bets and someone shoves. Plays like you said like a sub 50bb trny. This game could be crazy interesting to watch if sit was deep stacked and there was street play.
