Ukraine at the collapse of Soviet Union had one of the largest air forces in Europe (approx. 2000 planes), it's their fault that they neglected their army so much that they have barely 100-150 flight worthy airplanes now.....

The level of ignorance from russians on the street is staggering, but given the level of state control of the media, not surprising. However, it was interesting that the one lady knew that virtually the whole world is currently opposed to russia's actions. Just a shame she can't extend that thought and question why. Смотрели интервью Арахамии, в котором он признался, что еще в самом начале СВО Россия планировала подписать с Украиной договоренности, по которым Украина была бы нейтральным государством, но Борис Джонсон сказал "Давайте просто воевать" и Украина вышла из переговоров? Чёткое понимание того, что происходит пришло, когда Украина напала на Украину. России ужасно не повезло с соседями - они постоянно нападают сами на себя. Скоро видно Беларусь нападёт на Беларусь, а Казахстан уже нападает на Казахстан. Везде «гражданские конфликты» и только в россии жизнь счастливая. В телевизоре. It's a total fabrication. As if Boris Johnson had that power even if he wanted to! Sad and desperate propaganda. Secondly, let's talk about the Donbas, but more specifically Igor Girkin and Donbas ... Mh 17 passenger airliner was shot down in Donbas in July 2014. A Dutch court found three ruSSians guilty in absentia of that crime and those russians are wanted by the ICC to stand trial in the Hague for war crimes. But guess who one of the russians was? Igor Girkin! Former FSB officer (now in jail in russia for criticising putin). Girkin has admitted in several published interviews that the FSB invaded Crimea and Donbas in 2014. It was not a popular uprising, and russian speaking Ukrainians were not under threat. Girkin has admitted that the mess russia created in the Donbas has led to hatred of russia in the Donbas. He has gone on record saying there was no civil war. Just the FSB causing provocations that were then backed up by the russian army in neutral uniforms. putin has since invented the figure of 20,000 civilian deaths, offering NO EVIDENCE whatsoever; no cemeteries filled with bodies, no names, no eye witnesses, nothing. Yevgeny Prigozhin (naturally before putin had him murdered) has also admitted very publicly that there were no Nazis in Ukraine and that Ukraine had posed no threat to russia before the invasion. He openly blamed elites in Moscow for launching an unnecessary and unprovoked war designed to make themselves rich. This is called reality. This is called the truth. This is not what you are used to hearing. This is not the narrative you are paid to promote. But this is all a matter of record and history.

Russia has completely leveled & destroyed entire cities and has laid millions of landmines that will take decades to clear. If Russia manages to hold on to this territory there is little they will be able to do with it, between attacks from partisans and the asymmetrical warfare & insurgency that will develop making it extremely costly to hold in men & materials. In a few years time they will withdraw unwilling to pay the price for keeping it and these hundreds of thousands of dead Russians will all have been in vain and only to sooth an old man’s ego.
