The movie it Tokyo Speedway ("previously released as Freeway Speedway"). There are 6 of the movies, I think it's one of the later ones. they were released from '88 to '96. Supposedly, the later ones were banned from release in Japan, for encouraging street racing, even though Tsuchiya is in a few, if not all, the movies talking about keeping it on the track.

Well done. I love it. This is a very well edited video in deed. Anyone can see this is an edit and intended as a nice peice of very well put together fiction. For that I think it's an awsome peice of work indeed. For any kids thinking this is real driving and they should copy it.... I suggest you play Lemmings (old school computer game) and replicate that. It's just as real, honest.

See right at 1:52 it shows the needel at 160 going inot 180 in like 1 soecond thtas basecly going froma 100 MPH to 111 MPH in one second which is pretty fast.

True but to say that the 428 Cobra jet engine that originally went in to the GT500 was not a good engine is ridiculous, The V8's from back in the 60's and 70's were some of the most reliable engines ever. I know you don't personally like them, but they are amazing V8's.

I first have to say that both drivers seem to be very skilled, second, both cars are obviously holding back, 110mph both these cars can do that on a freeway no problem. The excelleration might be sped up alittle, but from a roll either of these cars can leave in a hurry, especially the zx since it only pushing two wheels. In a straight line the zx would have had it but in something with traffic like this id put my money on the skyline and the zx under an Isuzu NPR.

Yo you do know that the 300ZX hit 180 mph right and the skyline gtr 32 was hittin around the same, so they were actually closer to breaking 200mph. That was impressive i've cat and moused thru traffic doing 135mph but not 180 that would have prolly made me piss my self

Its not speeded up...look at the lines on the roadway and the streetlights when they pass them. Also watch the cars they pass. What it is is well edited with the cuts to the speedo and the rev counter, the fender shots and the bumper shots. Also keep in mind that that is KM/H not MPH

GTR-32 weight is 3668 lbs vs. 300ZX Twin turbo 3299 lbs. GTR-32 280 hp 300zx 300hp 90-95 280hp 1996. GTR-32 is a great veihcle as the fairlady z, but z in the movie is a 2 seater not a 2+2. The 2+2 is family mans z when you want to throw your rug rats in back and still look cool.

@blaketake It's very true. This movie and Initial D(movie) the best racing movies what i've ever seen, There is no bad computer effects in background. Ok this is a little speed up, but not laughable. FnF:TD - Real footage:10% CGI: 90% Initial D - Real footage:92% CGI: 8%(the crash scenes are very bad it's true...) But much better than FNF touge scene XD
