🚗 Daniel Cooper just dropped another incredible new technique but can I do it? And what if I use Polyurethane Resin? This may take a few attempts to get it right, see what you think :) I do promise to show you the ones that don't work out so well too don't i :)

Tracey, Daniel used the hairspray at what I call "spit mode". Well, that's what we called it high school. 😅 You know, when you're nearly out and it just spits at you, instead of spraying. Well, just _barely_ depress the nozzle and it should just "spit" and drizzle out. Let totally dry, then dust.

it's a new can, it wouldn't do that. I've done 6 more this morning, think I may have found the trick for the curved surface. 2 coats or 3, I think I'm getting there :) it's really straight forward on a flat surface, I'll put some pics out soon of the successes with that. Yes, spit it on and less is more. Curved surface is a whole different ball game, I shall persevere :)

I watched Daniel’s video a few minutes after he posted it and thought “that’s amazing. If possible spray your mold at a distance. That will avoid the puddles 😊 I will be trying this also!! Yours turned out very cute!! Love those colors tho!!!

I did, that's how it ended up all over the mat lol. Also even with a tiny amount it puddled because of the shape. I'll try again though - it was coming out of the tin very fast because it was a new tin I think. I'll have another go soon

I hope you do better than me. The curved surface and a too new can of spray I t hink - it's going to be tricky to get this to work on a curved surface like the frogs. I am determined though and will try again. It's an amazing technique

Spray beyond the mold - let the drops fall from the spray stream. Haven’t used hairspray in years! Had to go buy a travel sized can. Still lovely and good on you for trying it immediately.

definitely. I've since done 6 more - on the curve 2 or 3 layers quite lliberally seems best. on the flat, a light mist. so I think it depends what we're doing. I shall have another go soon

Kermit Sr & Jr came out lovely for the first try. Love the texture it gave it, even without too much speckles, it looks pretty cool. You’ll get better at it, I’m sure …can you imagine the possibilities of this technique ??? Daniel really put a spin on it & took it out of the ballpark 😂😂😂. A BRILLIANT 💡 if I might say so myself…Lord knows we have tons of hairspray lying around & now we found another purpose for it. 🥰🥰🥰

Don’t think you need to spray it so heavily. Daniel seemed to spray it lightly from a bit of a distance. Waiting for my hairspray to arrive! Can’t wait to try it out!

Can I offer you an idea.... crumple up some lacy fabric into the mould then spray the hair spray through it...remove when dry

I've just done it again - closer and 3 layers of spray worked better. Maddening. I think I'll need to persevere. this can off spray is brand new and sprays too much as well I think. I'll keep trying. The curved surface of the moulds doesn't help

Have you tried not pushing the top down fully so it kinda splatters as opposed to a spray? Might take a bit of practice depending on the type of can

I've still to try it, there must be a knack to it but you're getting there, what about holding the frog up and spraying in short bursts up into it with the hairspray below it so it doesn't puddle, would that work ? I love the frog, tried one recently and want to do more, Would love a lily pad mould but there doesn't seem to be any so bought some fake ones from Temu to see if I can make a mould somehow or even a silicone insert

After watching Daniel’s video and yours, I noticed that you’re spraying way too close and too much at one time light far back spray first let dry then spray in a dish and dab with end of paintbrush would be the best results these are the techniques that Daniel used I suggest watching his video that might help

Why not just brush your colorant right onto the mold without the hairspray? That works for me. I just don't see what benefit there is to adding the hairspray. 😊

Don't press the nozzle so hard, when Dan did it he got it all splotchy by not pressing the nozzle too hard
