Really appreciate the time and video. These local printer company just want to sell new printers rather than repair them. I have a mechanic shop and believe everything is repairable.

Thanks for your Video. I had error "Output motor drive does not work" (in german "Stillstand Ausgabemotor"). I had got a original HP repair Kit for this motor drive and with this nice video I was able to open printer, remove all necessary parts, change output drive and put all things together. Finally my very powerful HP 476 comes to live again and I can now work and print without any problems. I have ink for several years and I hope this machine works as long as I live (I am now 66 years old).

Well, you got it apart without a hammer, but there was no information as to WHY you were removing pieces, what most of them were for, or what kind of failures would require which parts to be disassembled. I'm going to figure out how to access the printhead for manual cleaning. When I do, I'll upload a video and link it here for the rest of you who were just here, like me, to find out WHERE the printhead lives, and how to get at it without tearing your printer down to screws and springs.

Man, thanks a lot for the video! My 476dw shows the following error code: "C18A00A". Couldn't find anything relating the code. All LEDs beside the touchscreen are flashing and the printer asks me to restart it. The tray with the ink cartridges is in the bottom position. Atleast i'm now able to get to them.

I'm viewing this because I have a serious printhead issue. Yellow is almost totally clogged and I can't get it recovered/cleaned, etc. I was hoping I wouldn't have to totally disassemble the unit to change out the printhead.

That printer is so fast and generates no heat vs laser. Suck HP opted to end the technology and hold on to the patent.

My HP Officejet Pro X476dw MFP always makes a squealing, grinding noise inside the ink cartridge compartment whenever I send a print, copy or scan. It does this even when it updates or makes a routine program maintenance by itself. It sounds like something is loose or obstructing the cartridge box when it raises or drops down. Is there a fix for this or do you have any idea what are the potential causes and possible solution? I can't find anybody who knows the fix and HP support centers are hard to come by within my area. Thanks for whatever advise you can offer.

black began to fade. I bought 1 set of cartridges and installed them. The black color decreased and the engine pump failed error started to appear. I cannot enter the reset section either. please help.. Could this malfunction be a motherboard fault? How should I fix it? I would be happy if you could help me on this matter.

Seems like air in the ink line is stalling ink and pump. I'm not sure how to do that, but what you need to do is prime some ink or water into the black ink line. If you do line, at first prints will be light, then will get darker.

When the booting process is completed, a blue screen with an error code c8190014 appears. Then it suggests to turn the printer off and on again, but no luck. I managed to do a factory reset but the same error appears during the setup. Any suggestions? Thanks.

What kind of screwdriver is it? It's not a Phillips head and I've tried Torx screwdrivers but nothing seems to work.

Torx like a star, not just hexagon. Torx T10

Would you all be interested in buying the core for the remaining parts? The printerhead is clogged as I used aftermarket ink for the last 2 years. But everything mechanically was working.

I thought I wanted to do this to clean some ink off the print head that built up from the waste ink tray getting too full, but after watching this video, I'm going to just stick with Q Tips. Guaranteed I'd end up losing ONE screw or breaking a minor plastic piece that is impossible to replace. (Pagewide 477dw)

Check the flap that opens when paper comes out. It may be stuck and triggering the error.
