My HP LaserJet 1020 is a rugged workhorse. Owned it since 2006 and taken it all over the country with me in my travels. It's a shame HP doesn't make them like this anymore.

SPANISH Muy bueno el video!! Felicitaciones. Me podras dar una mano con una HP B209 de cartucho x 4?. El display solo te indica atasco de papel. Los cartuchos es encuentran en el cabezal vacios. Pero cuando inicializa no corre el carro lo deja posicionado sobre su derecha. El scaneado lo realiza si lo sacas de su loop de pseudo error. No tiene nada de papel y no puedo quitar el cabezal por q esta en la zona de proteccion o inicializacion. Sin desarmar groseramente tenes algun tips? O indicarme como se saca la tapa superior ya q tiene tornillos pero en la parte de atras no logro encontrar como desarmarlo. Desde ya agradezco tu respuesta NOTA: Antes daba un error 036 ahora no se toma la molestia de informarme...

I have a problem with 1020. When I print a couple of papers the mechanism that catch the papers starts to repeat catching two or three times even though the paper is already in print process. So problem is that it actually pulls one paper for let's say 3cm than pulls another one and then two papers are going through printer. I need to hold the stack of papers with my finger so the mechanism can't catch the next paper until the next print page when I release my finger. Is there some way to fix this with greasing the gears or something like that?

Hello. There may be a simple solution. It most likely has something to do with separator pad and pick up rollers. The pick up roller can be cleaned with alcohol swab and you may push it to rotate as you clean when printer is turned off. Most likely, however it is the separator pad. Turn off printer, remove paper, and flip the printer on its side. You will see a blue piece held by two screws. Unscrew the piece and pull out to remove from printer. Clean the rubber piece with a windex or warm water on paper towel or regular cloth. After you cleaned and the pad is dry, reinsert the piece and screws. That should resolve the issue. I would realy appreciate an upodate on that.I will research other ppossible reasons for the printer issue you are having and will update as well. Thank you
