Jelly is just REAL. He's not bubblegum and puppies he's LIFE'S HARD and you know it. Thanks for this. I really appreciate it. Honestly for me when Jelly Roll did Simple Man WITH Shinedown. That is the other example for me of what it can mean. Song wise the last song I shared with my late wife Lorna before she passed was Faith Hill's version of "There You'll Be" from the soundtrack of Pearl Harbor because Everywhere I am there she'll be. That one destroys me, every single time.

First time I ever heard this song, Craig Morgan (who was a Army Veteran) and Chris Young came out to our deployment to perform for us. I loved this song. I listened to it every night until I got home. Craig Morgan did a song called "The Father, My Son, and the Holy Ghost" which was dedicated to his son, who passed away from a drowning accident. From what I have heard in Jelly Roll interviews and Jason DeFord, he talks about when is daughter was born, he challenged himself to be a father to Bailey as much as his father was to him and his family. Then when Bunnie told him that if they did not continue their relationship, at least she was going to help him get custody of Bailey and the love they found in each other has carried Jelly Roll into a rising star connecting with so many individuals who needed to have a voice and hope that their is life for them as well. I pray that God continues to honor and bless Jason and his loved ones for many more years to come. ❤❤🙏🙏🙏

If you haven’t, please react to Craig singing the song live at the Grand Ole Opry that he wrote about it “The Father My Son and The Holy Ghost” The performance was AMAZING and the bravery it took for him to do that is incredible. It was the 1st time he had performed it. I think you guys will enjoy it. Thanks friends!

10:44 not quite. Kerry Kurt Phillips and Craig Morgan wrote the song together long before Craig Morgan’s son died. Craig Morgan did a song about his son The Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost. In an interview Kerry Phillips said the most asked question is was the man sleeping or dying and he said the thought never crossed his mind that the man was dying. The original idea for the song was a man falling asleep on a plane and then they decided a singer would come upon a man fallen on hard times.
