30th Anniversary | Return of Double Dragon | Modded Playthrough (Billy)

Let us all celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Return of Double Dragon!! Its the only DD entry in the 16-bit era. I played both of these videos on the normal difficulty with just the 5 continues as its more than enough.
I almost forgot how challenging (and sometimes cheap) the difficulty of this game was. Of course I'm in no real danger of losing, I just hate being thrown out of my groove. Oh, and there is still plenty of jank in this game. I don't know if thats cuz of the rom hack or because I'm playing so hard lol! I play just as hardcore as I do in UDD so expect lots of fast and merciless beatings given to the bad guys!

30 years ago from today Technos released our beloved 16-bit SNES console entry, Return of Double Dragon. 10 days ago was the release of the US version, Super Double Dragon. Still making changes all the way to the release date of the Japanese version, The game will forever remain and unfinished work. Over the years there were some talented modders and rom hackers that tried to add a little extra to the game to make it feel a little more complete. This video features one of them. The Kencho Hacks. Here is a copy/paste of some of the notes of the readme file that explains the changes made to the game: - The Dragon Power Meter now increases 33% faster. - Billy and Jimmy's basic attacks (just pressing punch or kick) are now two frames faster for better responsiveness. - Blocking is no longer timed. It is done just by holding the blocking button, in the fashion of other games like Mortal Kombat or Soul Calibur. - If the defense button is held when another move is finished, will start blocking immediately. The blocking condition is not the button press, but the button hold. - Blocking while holding a weapon will now drop it and enter the "defensive" mode. - The R button is now used for blocking, instead of increasing the Dragon Power Meter. These are not the only changes made to the game for this video though, I also switched up the music in this game using Game Genie codes. Its a composite of the US and JP arrangement, but maybe leaning towards the United States version overall. You will get the hear Duke's unused theme on the final stage! I used Game Genie codes to switch around some music. Billy sounds more like US version while Jimmy sounds more like JP version.

Hahaha! Nope.😅 Mr. Q's brother is "PATONGO", otherwise known as Patricio Herrera. His main focus is on composing but he does other creative work too. His channel is "featured" on my homepage. While I'm not part of the dev team, I am this projects single biggest fan and have been for the past 8 years. My role will be more pronounced after the game is finished. But that's gonna be a long, looooooong time from now.

But I heard that game is already done, and some people, who tried very hard to support this project will get it from a couple of months (I think you one of them), other get it later, around September.
