I played the original 20xx, it was alright but my main problem was the level design. Even in the regular Rougelite mode of this game, the level design is a lot more structured in how it was generated.

As someone who also played 20XX, sometimes the stages were a little lacking. Something I also found weird about 20XX was that some stages were longer than others (Kurs version of Sky Temple being longer than Eternal Stars for example). 30XX, definitely feels a lot more focused and refined.
