I planted my aptos blue redwood about 10ft away from my drive way. I also planted the tree with the pot container. I sliced the bottom so that the roots can shoot downwards. Do you think I will have any issues? My tree is young, about 2yrs old. Maybe about 5 to 6ft tall.

Gnome Beard leaving the pot with bottom removed can still lead to girdled roots. They will still come up

Isn't internal decay a part of how redwoods grow? I've always seen pictures of giant redwoods with cavities

that's why these trees should only be in a forest not in a middle of the city in someone's yard.
