#31 - Cassette Tag, Gifts and Food

Hello Don, you old goat! I guess I like the idea of keeping the name “vinyl community “. It already seems to include cassettes and cds. And even reel to reel for cool cats like you. I like the main focus being records, but many of us still show the other formats from time to time. You did a great job with Tony’s tag. Like you, I’ve had it up to here with all these freaking tags, but Tony is someone I would do one for because he’s just an awesome dude. Love that Messer Chups album cover on your wall in part two. Cool Howlin Wolf cds! And record! They have some super nice reissues of some of Wolf’s early albums that are reasonably priced (if I bought them you know they have to be lol) on vinyl that I would recommend to you. Nice autographed copy of Mickey solo! I love the Monkees. Merry Christmas Don. 🍻

Cool cat? Thanks Gary! Yeah I'll always show vinyl but have no problem throwing another (physical) format in. I don't mind a tag but dang they can get really complicated and long sometimes. The Messer Chups are awesome! And yes a autographed copy of Mickey how cool is that?🍻

Bummer about the missing albums. That sucks. We had a hi-fi when I was growing up. I played xmas songs on the piano while I had the stereo going. I loved doing that. I love watching your stuff ❤

For me getting bored means gaining weight so I have to keep moving. To me MC sounds friendlier😂. Happy holidays to you and yours too. I stopped doing resolutions years ago but since at my age the weight can be a problem, unfortunately exercise in 2025 will be a must.😆

Your story about the mix tape of your son is heart breaking. Love the radio shows on cassette. Those would be great to listen to. I like the cassette player thats awesome. Glad to help ya out Tony. I'm gonna try to get to that flea market soon and see if he still has a good quantity of music. I went through every box I have the other day just in case I over looked the mixed tape but no luck. Hope you had a great Christmas.

Cool video! I was just about to sit down with some albums and then I saw you posted a video. Cool cassette tag and gifts! Glad you got the albums I sent in time! Sounds like you enjoyed the Verve! Awesome album huh? The first EP and that Storm in Heaven were quite epic! At the start, they were a northern English band untouched from what was going on in London. But that changed over their follow up albums. Many great moments still, but not the same.

Cassettes kind of suck. Some cassettes sound great. Some cassettes sound terrible. But all cassettes can be eaten by the cassette player. I think you will enjoy my vinyl tag. If you watch it I might even do the cassette tag.

Yes, when that roller gets dirty you can loose a tape unlike a record. I often come late to the party but I usually watch all your videos👍
