31 Day Character Challenge: Stormbringer/Hawkmoon

Can I make 31 characters-one for each day in December? I'm gonna give it a try! Not only that, I'll make a video for each one and give each game an "unreview."
The rules are:
1) I have to like it,
2) I have to have bought it, and
3) I must do my best to use E-Prime, a linguistic tool that forbids me from using the verb "to be."

Wish I'd run into this video before now. I'm occasionally running a 4th edition Stormbringer campaign and having an absolute blast doing so. Glad to see the old BRP systems and Moorcock's Million Spheres got some love and I love your notion for a Multiverse campaign.

Nice! Corum was always my favorite Champion. Magic swords are dope, but spears are also sweet, and the Hand of Kwll and the Eye of Rhynn were totes badass.

I began running Stormbringer after having ran only AD&D 1E, Tunnels and Trolls, and Call of Cthulhu. I never ran Runequest. Unlike CoC, the Runequest rules and detail just didn't sing to me. Whereas Stormbringer was in my wheelhouse and I was thrilled when the Hawkmoon boxed set came out. Did you ever collect and run any of the Stormbringer Companion books or the Shattered Isle sourcbook for Hawkmoon? I really love the encapsulated Eternal Champion resources through the 3rd boxed edition.

First and foremost: I absolutely love your Big Trouble in Little China poster! That movie is my all time favorite of ALL action movies. And... I am a big fan of the ideas of Michael Moorcock and The Eternal Champion, epic forces of Chaos, Law and The Balance. So much so that I have included that overall cosmos paradigm into my own fantasy world building and table top RPG. And by the way: The first/second edition Stormbringer RPG by Chaosium are my super favorites of dark fantasy RPGs, more so by the chaotic ritual magic system among other rules!

Many years ago my group used that "everyone is a GM" model to run a multi-dimensional superheroes games based on the "Cross-Time Caper" (the first long storyline of Chris Claremont and Alan Davis on "Excalibur"). BTW, in the early '90s Stormbringer was quite popular in Italy thanks to a pretty nifty edition by Stratelibri. Personally, I never liked the "roll for species and class" system, because it often result in pretty bland and generic characters. What's you opinion?

I like choices and sometimes rolling gives me options I had not considered. But generally, no, I don't like rolling.
