Home-invasion movies are a peculiar breed. As with other tropes, there's only so much you can do with the formula, but once you do something new with the formula and manage to keep the audience invested without insulting their intelligence in terms of plot structure and character development, then it's no longer stale.

This genre, home invasion, is one that I avoid. I saw the Strangers and was terrified. Haha even though it's dumb. Too close to reality maybe. I watched Planet Terror this morning. Thank you I remembered how much I love it. Enjoy your day sir!

The Strangers was soooo boring! As you often state, a good slow burn horror flick isn't just a bunch of padding, it keeps you interested. The Strangers didn't...just boring as heck. Will check out Them. Great October series, as usual.
