Sun 'n Fun Shenanigans & Bye Bye 1BC...

After our crazy arrival into Lakeland, FL for Sun 'n Fun, we set up camp and then take ya'll along for some of the sights and scenes from the show. Unfortunately some bad weather moved in and blocked our route north forcing us to leave 1BC for a few days and take an airliner home.

Great job showing the discipline of good decisions. I had the same happen a year ago...had to leave c182 in Memphis for 2 weeks. Return flight back but you make the best of it and remember how awesome it is to fly....safe. love the videos.

Between your page and a few others I have finally decided to quit dragging my feet and go to pilot school. I did my intro flight last weekend and that was a blast. I'm going twice a week starting this Sunday to start with my instructor. Love your content!

Tip for keeping cost down… Do all your ground schooling on your own. Don’t pay an instructor anymore than necessary. You’re in the process of making your world smaller. Enjoy!!!

This coming from a former Naval Aviator carrier based pilot and a former Piper 140 owner. I enjoy your channel and on this episode I want to commend you for your professionalism and pilot skills under duress, from the tower, ATC, congested traffic pattern, and from your co-pilot. You kept cool and professional while your co-pilot added to the cluster f@ck when she should have been more engaged and supportive. You stayed true to the primary task of aviation, fly the airplane. I was at Leesburg during SNF and left a day early to avoid the weather that really looked bad coming in. I was VFR and barely made it out to VA. Glad you made it back OK. I know how stressful it can be to leave "the mistress" behind but live to fly another day.

Those T6 Harvards at 4:45 were superb and very tight with their night glow light show aeros. So glad you survived and enjoyed the airshow Jaime! I bet 1BC let loose and spent the entire week over in the Bahamas before you flew back to get her in FL, Kevin! Kevin, Looks like Sun and Fun was a good time. Tough break having to leave the plane behind and fly back commercial. But sometimes those things need to be done I'm sure. As a relatively new pilot I am still trying to wrap my head around that. Or just sitting and waiting. I probably am still driving more than I should be because of the fear of being stuck somewhere longer than I plan. Good luck on your future adventures.

We departed right before that weather turned to wicked. We were parked at Kissimmee. It Was a bumpy ride till mid TN the Vision jet wasn't scared. then smooth to KANE

Been a while (for me)! Aren't enough hours in the day. I thought you were dumping 1BC! Glad it was only temporary. I missed that show by DAYS. So close! My paramotor training started in Wauchula on the 24th - right after it ended. My instructor was there, lol. I absolutely loved it down there. I didn't want to leave - was in the 90's every single day! Great people everywhere, too. Paradise! Tried to talk my wife into moving down there, but she wasn't having it. :( Hopefully some day. Anyway, loved the tail cam at the end with the engine sound - gave me goosebumps! AWESOME shot! Good to see you guys!

I enjoy your content I live in East Aurora near Fermilab. I watch the GA stuff out of DuPage and the airline stuff out of O’Hare. I got my private ticket at VNY in the mid 80s and flew a good bit until I lost my medical in 2000. Maybe one day we’ll get to visit here in Chicagoland. Take care.
