Hi Kevin, There is nothing like cookies from mom. My mother use to add raisins. They are great for breakfast lol. Thank you for sharing another video. Jamie is a definite keeper, that was extremely thoughtful having the truck there for you. You two are a great couple. Take care, Be safe.

Good luck on your western trip. It sounds like work schedules may prevent a true tour of the western USA, therefore I recommend getting the plane out west, and “commuting” on the airlines back to Chicago. I did something similar in Mexico many years ago, back when “FAM trips” were a bit easier. Early September can be very hot in California, so I’d recommend late September or later. There are so many good stops that have already been suggested, but using a southern route westbound to a northern route return: 1) KDRO - Since you likely have zero experience with 14,000 mountains, particularly with heat or wind, I’d recommend some training prior to flying around Colorado mountains, but you sure want to see them. The easiest stop might be Durango and jump on the narrow gauge train up into the mountains. 2) KSEZ - Sedona is a must see for pilots. Good restaurant on the field 3) KGCN - Grand Canyon is legendary. This airport is a short distance from the south rim of the canyon. 4) KLAS - skip this… take an airliner there… or, it might be a good commuting location. Just leave your plane at Henderson (KHMD) or North Las Vegas (KVGT) and Uber over to the main airport. 5) KAVX - Santa Catalina Island is a must see for pilots in Southern California 6) KCMA - Camarillo has one of the best on-airport cafes, and has good aviation museums. The Ronald Reagan Presidential library is nearby. 7) KSZP - Santa Paula is just a few miles northwest of KCMA, but is a step back in time. You can just wander around and check out the 1930s hangars and interesting stuff therein. I’d recommend a Saturday or Sunday visit here. 8) L05 - Kern Valley, near Bakersfield, is great for a soft introduction to the Sierra Nevada mountains. 9) L52 - Oceano is a short, paved strip right next to the ocean, with large sand dunes. You can rent quads and explore. 10) KTVL - South Lake Tahoe is absolutely stunning and iconic. 11) KAPA - If you like the wine country, Napa airport is where you start 12) O86 - Trinity Center is another iconic “on the lake” flying experience with the Trinity Alps mountains in the background 13) S21 - Sun River is another iconic airport with the Three Sisters mountains in the background 14) KJAC or KWYS - either Jackson Hole or West Yellowstone airports are great gateways to this very special part of North America. 15) KRAP - Rapid City is the gateway to Mount Rushmore Tony Williams Former FAA-ATC ZOA ARTCC, SCT TRACON, CMA-ATCT ATP pilot certificate San Diego, California USA

Not sure the exact time of year your fall trip will be, but consider the international ballon fiesta in Albuquerque. It’s usually around the first part of October. A full weeks worth and hundreds of balloons. Cannot beat the Mexican cuisine in Albuquerque or Santa Fe. After a day or two there, Western Colorado is simply magical with Color changes. Black canyon near Montrose is well worth seeing from rim or riverside. Ouray is fantastic and beautiful and about a 40 minute drive from montrose. From there, could hit Moab Utah as well as arches. I’m sure the Grand Canyon is on the agenda as well. Just giving some ideas of that part of the world. Enjoy every one of your videos!
