I’ve been a fan of 311 since 1993 and always will be. Among the things about Nick that I love, is how vocal he has always been about adopting a positive outlook on life. Few people in the entertainment industry ever adopt or promote such a perspective, because too often they sold their souls to get where they are and they’re too busy serving Baphomet to care about anyone else. It’s not hard to see who within the industry made the same deal with the devil, as they are generally miserable, sickly looking individuals who flash their bullshit illuminati signs in every photo. A dude like Nick & the boys of 311 got to where they are by uniting themselves through a dedication to the work and the process of creating and performing music, love for their fans and each other, and an appreciation for everything they’ve accomplished. I’ve always appreciated that they’ve dared to be different by promoting unity, appreciation, and positivity over anger, division, and disillusionment. The negatives are just as real as the positives are, and they affect us all just as much if not more than the positives; but somewhere along the line the negative perception of life seemed to become the default outlook adopted in popular music. 311’s sustained success while adopting a positive outlook, shows that musicians and entertainers can tap into people’s positive emotions and find just as much success. Thanks Nick, for always being a reminder that focusing on the positives in life pays far more dividends than wallowing in negativity does.✌🏻
