I was lucky enough to catch them back in '95 at plenty of small clubs. Coney Island High in NYC was a treat thrown by KROC. I got to a point with 311 that the shows, production and songs got "too much", if that makes sense. They really started looking for the cross over and I bailed. These early daze were unbeatable.

I was there! It actually was no were near the convention. I was late because I drove down to the convention in downtown SD. It was near the beach next to Sea World. A show like that can never be repeated!

The crazy thing is I was actually at this show. This was my first three eleven show out of twenty over the years and it was in hospitality point in San Diego. It was a free concert put on by MTV choose or lose rock the vote. They gave out free t shirts and I still have it.

311's musicality is better on the album than it is live, but their stage presence is great. Saw them in 2001. Just my 2cents anyway. Edit: also, Homebrew was on one of their pre-big label albums. Dudes were crankin out tunes in that rap-rock-reggae style young asf
