Thanks Manuel. There used to be a good number of Albins in the UK but much smaller. I think from memory they were Albin 28s. Nice mix of fishing and comfort for cruising 😎

This is one classy boat for it's size. So many options and uses. Very comfortable too.

I honestly wasn't expecting such a comfortable, luxury finish from a sports fisher design. It really is best of both worlds 😎

Mark once again sources a unicorn. If the survey verifies the claimed care & maintenance, this seems a fair price. Lose the RV couch, redesign a way to host four people for a set down meal, and it will be the class act of the anchorage. The boat's name says it all.

He's dropped hints of what else he is secretly tracking down.......and let's just say it's a big yes from me on every one of them 😉

I agree 👍 . It is unfortunate that this didn't get the full production run as it's a great boat, inside and out.

I'm just back from Ft Lauderdale boat show, and this is a fraction of the cost compared to similar size new boats. Thing is, the new boats don't offer that much that this one doesn't. This one has been so well maintained and upgraded over the years, it's tremendous value for money in comparison

Looks like a nice boat. I doubt the hull was designed by Sparkman Stephens -- Albin had a 46-foot "Command Bridge" model designed by its long-time naval architect Terry Compton. The 46' Command Bridge had twin diesels aft under the cockpit with V-drives. I think Albin made about 5 or 6 46 Command Bridge versions before they went out of business. I would be surprised if the sportfish didn't use the Terry Compton hull but Albin had Sparkman Stephens draw up a new superstructure, layout and engineer the Pod-drives. I owned a 35 ft Albin Command bridge and it was a wonderful boat.

Thanks for the info. I did a quick Google search and see the model you are referring to. The superstructure and accommodation are totally different, but there are certainly similarities to the hull. Glad you enjoyed your Albin. Growing up in Scotland, there were a few Albins over there. They were the ones that would head out to sea when everyone else was heading home!!

Very pretty boat and extremely well kept at 15 years old. I didn't see it on the mzyachts site but what is the sir draft of the boat? Both with the radar arch/Bimini up and with them both folded/lowered?

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I'd recommend reaching out to Mark for more info. I did find something online that said it was 14ft bridge clearance. I'm assuming that's all canopy and arch down etc. Mark should be able to get more accurate info for you 😉

@@GarnockReviews If what you found is even near accurate that will make the boat VERY attractive to Loopers as well as coastal cruisers, since they need a maximum air draft of less than 19'6" to do it at all. If they want to do the western Erie Canal they need to be under 15'. Now all I need is to play the right damned numbers . . .

Ok I will bite the bait, what's wrong with Volvo engines? They are used in all sorts of boats, trucks, and equipment all over the world 🤔

Lost me as soon as I saw the pod drives. No Thanks!!
@GarnockReviews28 күн бұрын
I honestly feel like there are pros and cons to all drive options. The pods will be more fuel efficient, quieter, and make the boat for more maneuverable compared to conventional shafts. As with anything else, as long as they are serviced and maintained regularly, you shouldn't have any issues 😉
@ajdahun28 күн бұрын
@GarnockReviews that and the designers of interior spaces love them. Me, personally, I'm inti safety. It's one thing to run around with shafts n screws. It's another to run around with pods, they've been known to rip out, and the vessel sink in minutes. Plus, the maintenance is a nightmare. Again, no thanks...
