Said it before and have to say it again. For me, you are changing the fantasy draft game. Have won back-to-back presidents and the second one was partly due to you and the Fantrax-hack, to get relevant draft rankings to your own league settings. And you remind me of a childhood friend, who is no longer with us... You have a similar vibe that he had in his late teens. Thanks for the deep dive and getting us into draft season moods. And good luck to all this upcoming season. This guy has the tricks to get you going.

Amazing video with the level of detail. 1 idea: Make the colour legend for the players you think are a lock on the PP. Quinn Hughes = Green (100% Lock) Dougie Hamilton = Red (Risk).

Mason Lohrei is a sneaky flyer to take at the end of the draft. He had a great playoff performance and I think the bruins are gonna give him more responsibility this year

Good video. Too many creators just pull up daily faceoff and talk about shooting percentages. Most dont even acknowledge coaching changes which Im glad you actually mentioned. Its a huge thing to consider with this stuff. I think you could get even more layers into your videos if you also consider scheduling (off-nights vs busy-nights) in some of your player breakdowns. Or dont 🤫

Ok so , this video is probably the best content i’ve ever seen for fantasy draft prep I’ll be waiting each year now for that video . I would have paid for this content seriously Good job My comment: i think that when teams like LAK, NJD and others NEEDS to win .. at some point they don’t care if their top d is playing 25 minutes a night .. they will put the best player on PP1

Appreciate that detailed run down... and agree with almost every single one of your takes. I'm with you on Hamilton over Hughes on the Devils PP (agree with your points)... also listened to the "Fantasy Hockey Life" podcast on the Devils, and the Devils beat-writer said that team wants Hughes to focus on improving his defensive play this year - she tipped Hamilton for PP1. And would really love to see Clarke take over PP1 in LA, but apparently Doughty is a cry-baby so that won't happen lol.

Great analysis for 32 teams. Very thoughtful considering the history of each player, their roles, roster construction, handedness, size, playing style and strengths. Very useful for me as a game used jersey collector. I think Hamilton's getting puck to the nets on the power play help mercer's ability to get clean up goals. But its really a toss up becausebit really a luxury for the devils to have both hamilton and luke hughes.... And nemec.... And seamus casey brewing

Just subbed. Bravo. I went straight to FLA and NJD just to see whether you are on-point. I think you covered the nuances really well. I doubt many ppl have Adam Boqvist front-of-mine. But he def can run a PP. What's interesting about Ekblad is he has averaged 12G per season, and yet only averages 68 games. But look how Maurice manages Tkachuk and Barkov's workloads to be fresh in the playoffs. For the NJD, Dougie is effective regardless of whether he or Luke are on PP1. Past is not prologue with a new coach, as well. But, again, Dougie has had injury woes. So, PP1 is more about understanding Maurice and Keefe and having a conceptual overview than production and Xs & Os. One just won a Cup with a fresh team, and the other is in NJ solely to win a Cup. And they both have great defensive systems, rooted in the long-view and managing the schedule. So I see these teams like the VGK of recent years or PIT last year, where you should be concerned they are two-headed monsters, compared to more straightforward PP1 team options.

incredible video. thank you so much. I think Columbus will put Fantilli on PP1 because of his name value. New coach, new GM, they'll want to give their young star all the chance to explode offensively.
@firedupfantasy4 ай бұрын
I get where you're coming from but if they run a dedicated 1st unit I don't know if Fantilli fits there. Marchenko is your best goal scorer on the man advantage and would be the only righty out of Werenski, Monahan, Gaudreau and Jenner. It just make way more sense for it to be Marchenko. BTW I think Fantilli is fantastic so maybe they'd make it work.

Fantili is one of the hardest predictions to make he had 25 points in 49 games last year you have to expect that he still playing like he's more mature than the guys he's been playing with because he does seem to have matured earlier than most people his age which is why I think the ducks went with Carlson over him but he only got three power play points for power play points maybe last year with the sad passing of Johnny hockey you have to think his power play production is going to go away up but he still 150 games short of his breakout I would think similar numbers to Luke Hughes this year. Maybe a little bit more 60 points with 25 on the power play

Why not run luke and Hamilton on the PP. NHL has fallen in love with running only 1 defenseman on the PP

Luke Hughes has the record for most goals scored by a defenseman in Michigan. Not sure where this bad shot info is coming from?
@firedupfantasy4 ай бұрын
Luke can score goals I am only highlighting that Hamilton has a more powerful shot from the point. Teams respect Hamilton’s ability to let shots go and open more lanes. There’s just more space on the powerplay with Hamilton on it
