Some more: Carries wearing black in the pool scene while all other girls are wearing colors. The 2 people whose clothing Carrie marked with her period blood - Desjardins and Sue - ended up repenting and surviving. The school logo is bull, like bully Carries poem referenced Samson, to whom Stephen King compared Carrie in his book Danse Macabre. Also, the poem referenced "an angel, all in flames, ascended", which foreshadows Carrie levitating in the flaming gym; the book makes it clear she's an avenging angel. Kimberly pierce said that the scene of Carrie levitating her books was symbolic of masturbation Chris's bloody face has the same pattern as Carries bloody face, so basically Carrie dished back what Chris did to her. Also, Kim pierce said the scene intended to ruin Chris's beauty, since Chris was so narcissistic. One of the scissors that impaled Margaret was the same pair of scissors with which Margaret almost killed Carrie after Carrie was born Carries mom is crucified against a vagina-shaped crack with blood on it. In the alternate ending, there are stars in the background of sues hospital room, similar to the prom scene. In this scene, Sue pleads the same things that Carrie was pleading in the period scene, who was pleading the same thing Carries mom was pleading in the birth scene. However, it ended in the opposite direction, with sues mother comforting her, unlike how Carries mom abused her for her period.

Plus, when Carrie uses the wires to electrocute the floor is kinda (almost) a little reference to the Carrie in 2002, cause in the 2002 version Carrie puts a score board in the water electrocuting everyone in the prom, but in the 2013 one she uses it on the girl with the laptop

Most overwhelming Difference between 1976 and 2013 Carrie is, that in 2013 people were laughing but stopped when bucket dropped on Tommy's head, but in 1976 everyone starts laughing after Tommy's death.... Which sounds more awkward

In 73’ the laughter was mostly a hallucination that carrie had- because the crowd is mostly dead silent (except for that girl with the hat and maybe others who bullied her)

There’s an alternative ending in the 2013 version where there’s about two frames of Carrie holding Sue’s baby, It’s really creepy, but it takes while to find it. Also you can find the rain of stones deleted scene on KZbin!

When Carrie is in the library, the books she picks up that I noticed besides the telekinesis one is: so I had my first period, what is happening to my body, and miracles, a hint to her changing body, and her lack of a proper sexual education that her mother failed to give her

Actually, the house being destroyed by stones and Sue being present in Carrie’s home as it happens is taken directly from the original ending in the script for the 1976 version.

If you're feeling ambitious, try doing a video on Rose Red. This was a Stephen King miniseries that came out the same time that miniseries were experiencing a boom in the early 2000's. As someone who is probably a little older than most of your viewers I have to say that no version of Carrie is better or equivalent to the original. Sometimes two versions of a different movie can both be good for different reasons but I did not like this one at all. Chloe is not quite plain, yet scary the way Sissy was and the Margaret white character in the first is terrifying. I just think the performances in the early version are way better and you know who to hate and you really hate them bc they make you believe they are really awful.

One of the biggest issues in this unnecessary remake is the casting of Moretz-Grace as the title character. There is nothing awkward or unattractive about her which results in her blending in with the rest of the "normal" characters in the story. King's book described Carrie as being overweight and homely with greasy hair and acne. And while Sissy Spacek isn't unattractive in the 1976 version, she plays Carrie so believably as an awkward, insecure teenager that we never doubt it for a second (Spacek's Carrie is one of the finest performances in movie history). I don't know why they didn't instruct Moretz-Grace to add some nuances the character that would make her stand out. It really ruined any possibility for this movie to work.

Lizzy and Nicki's death, I think it's the most symbolic in the movie, because the fact that they were being killed by smashed by the crowd means that they were not so important like they thought and it was somenthing that Carrie always had to work with.
